The new 2023 Corvette Z06 is one very impressive sports car, but now, Texas-based tuner Hennessey Performance Engineering has released a shot over the bow of the C8 Z06 with a new supercharger package for the C8 Corvette Stingray.
Dubbed the H700 package, Hennessey’s new upgrade boosts output from the Chevy Corvette C8 Stingray’s 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine to 708 horsepower and 638 pound-feet of torque, a whopping 44-percent increase in horsepower and 37-percent increase in torque compared to the factory ratings of 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. Critically, the H700 package’s peak output figures best the 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque produced by the naturally aspirated 5.5L V8 LT6 cradled by the C8 Corvette Z06.
The new Hennessey H700 package for the C8 Corvette Stingray includes a high-flow centrifugal supercharger system, an air-to-water intercooler, an engine tune, lightweight wheels, a cat-back exhaust system, new exterior graphics, and a serial numbered plaque. The wheels, sized at 19 inches in front and 20 inches in the rear, are available in a range of colors, including Brushed Aluminum, Satin Black, and Graphite, while the vinyl exterior graphics are available in Blue, White, Black, Silver, and Red.
The H700 upgrade is priced at $49,950, and can be fitted to 2020 through 2022 Chevy Corvette Coupe models. Hennessey is also offering a “power-only” package that only includes the supercharger, priced at $34,950. Both packages include a 3-year / 36,000-mile limited warranty, and are available from authorized Corvette retailers, or direct from Hennessey Performance.
“The stock C8 Corvette Stingray is an extraordinary sports car, yet Chevrolet left some V8 performance on the table,” says Hennessey Performance Founder and CEO, John Hennessey. “Our exciting ‘H700’ supercharger package integrates seamlessly with the 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and our exhaust upgrade sounds much more aggressive than stock. Considering that our power and torque surpass the factory Z06, the Hennessey ‘H700’ is arguably the best value high-performance supercar in the world.”
Sounds pretty sweet. Of course, what really sounds nice is that upgraded exhaust, as heard in the brief feature video below:

The package didn’t mention new axles. The stock axles aren’t rated for that much HP. For that kind of money it should include everything it needs to be fairly bullet proof under most circumstances.
Supercharger and tuning for 35k.
Is the system/upgrade CARB certified?
Call me old fashioned, but isn’t doing donuts for no particular reason a sport belonging to dweeb Charger owners?
Yeesh, can’t believe superchargers are still going in cars just to cause drivetrain power loss for no reason. Just use 48v powered compressors from now on.
