  • AT4X – $83,595

  • Denali Ultimate – $82,495

The refreshed 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 featured front-end design changes and a new cabin offered on all but the Pro model, which is the former “Sierra” base model. Besides the all-new interior, perhaps the biggest news for 2022 was the announcement of the new range-topping 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate and introduction of the all-new 2022 GMC Sierra AT4X. In addition, a mandatory three-year OnStar and Connected Services plan was added to all Sierra trim levels, its price ranging from $905 to $1,500.

The 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 introduces only a handful of changes and updates as compared to the full model refresh introduced for the 2022 model year. One of those includes availability of a new Graphite Edition package on the base Sierra Pro. Also, the 2023 Sierra 1500 now sees the return of the Brembo Performance Brake Kit.

The big news for 2023 is the debut of the first-ever 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X AEV Edition as the most off-road capable factory Sierra 1500 ever, developed with input from American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) like on the Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison and first-ever 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2 Bison. Additionally, the “standard” 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X receives new equipment from the AEV Edition.

GMC announced last month that the 2023 Sierra AT4X upgrade will result in a $3,395 increase. Additionally, the price increased by $1,000 over the 2022 on every trim level except for the Denali Ultimate and AT4, which have received respective price increases of $900 and $1,900. The 2023 Sierra 1500 received another price increase in November, including $3,395 on the AT4X, as noted above, and between $300 and $1,495 depending on other trim levels. This price hike includes a $100 bump in the destination freight charge, which is included and now $1,895.

Production of the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 kicked off at the GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana on August 20th, 2022, and at the GM Silao plant in Mexico on August 29th, 2022, for both Regular Cab and Crew Cab models, and on September 6th, 2022, for Double Cab models. The online configurator tool is now live for the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 and for the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X trim and AT4X AEV Edition.

Production of the 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 is set to kick off on July 17th.

  1. Great deals on the stuff that nobody wants.

  2. Seriously these MSRP prices are getting ridiculous. Who is buying the higher trim trucks?

  3. Do NOT buy a vehicle from Sunrise Chevrolet Buick GMC in the Memphis, TN, Bartlett, TN, and Collierville, TN areas. They say they honor the manufacturer deals, but submit the paperwork without them. Then refuse to correct their mistakes. Plus, if you are a female, they will try to take advantage of you. They seem to be under the impression that we (females) are just-plain-dumb. Horrible experience and ZERO customer service.
