GMC Models Ventilated Seat Blower Motor Retrofits Under Way6
GM has issued a service bulletin for a ventilated seat blower motor retrofit on three more GMC products, including the GMC Sierra HD, GMC Yukon and GMC Yukon XL. Previously, there was only one GMC model that could receive the retrofit, the 2022 and 2023 GMC Acadia.
The problem: affected units were built without ventilated seat blower motors, and can be identified by RPO code 04O. This constraint was due to the semiconductor chip shortage, where affected vehicles were built after March 30th, 2022.
The fix: certified GM technicians will be instructed to remove the non-functioning seat cushion ventilation blower and replace it with a functional unit. Some vehicles may also require the heated/ventilated seat retrofit performed beforehand. This program will be in effect until February 28th, 2026.
Affected components: ventilated seat blower motor.
Affected vehicles: all the GM vehicles listed below.

This is good news. I got the letter last week for our Yukon. Let s hope that GM will enable soon the parking sensors too.
For what it worth, IMO this strategy was the right thing to do from GM.
I would agree with you if they weren’t installing them in the 2023s and leaving us with 2022s purchased over a year ago without.
I still have a “New 2022” Silverado sitting in Mexico. I have given up on GM to deliver.
When can I order my 2024 HD Sierra
Well, I took delivery of my 2022 Sierra AT4 on March 31st 2022, finally got my seat heaters Feb 4, 2023, Still no heated steering wheel or parking sensors. As I have said before there are Dozens of new Sierras/Silverados sitting on dealers lots unsold right now with those options. I am done with GM
Will 4 way lumbar be a retrofit for vehicles or will it be 2 way lumbar forever?
