Chevrolet Trax Pricing
For reference, here are the 2022 and 2024 Chevy Trax trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, including $1,195 and $1,095 destination freight charges, respectively, with 2021 pricing carried over to the 2022 model year:
2022 Trax
- LS – $22,895
- LT – $24,695
2024 Trax
- LS – $21,495
- 1RS – $23,195
- LT – $23,395
- 2RS – $24,995
- Activ – $24,995
The Chevy Trax sees minor changes and updates for the 2022 model year. In September, the price did increase $300 as it has for nearly all Chevy models for a three-year Remote Access plan that now comes as standard, including the 2022 Trax.
In October GM debuted the next-generation 2024 Chevy Trax as Chevy’s new entry-level crossover.
Outside, the 2024 Chevy Trax incorporates the Bow Tie brand’s latest ICE-based design language, taking after the Chevy Blazer crossover. The latest Trax boasts new exterior dimensions that are longer, lower, and wider than the preceding model. Up front is a set of LED headlamps, while the five trim levels on offer – LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS, and Activ – each include their own unique styling bits, from wheels to grille treatments.
Inside, the new 2024 Trax is roomier than the preceding model, and offers more safety features and tech, including six advanced safety and driver awareness technologies via Chevy Safety Assist, and a standard eight-inch diagonal infotainment screen. LT, 2RS, and Activ trims get an 11-inch screen. Further onboard tech includes Active Noise Cancelation and cruise control, while Adaptive Cruise Control is offered on most trims.
As for the power spec, the 2024 Trax is motivated by the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, the same powerplant found in the Chevy Trailblazer LS and LT trim levels. Output is rated at 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque and paired to the GM six-speed automatic transmission. Only front-wheel drive is available while the outgoing model offers an all-wheel-drive option.
Pricing for the 2024 Chevy Trax starts at $21,495 for the base-level LS, rising as high as $24,995 for the 2RS and Activ trim levels, destination freight charge included. Notably, the new upcoming model costs less than a current 2022 Chevy Trax. Check out full pricing information, including options and packages.
GM President Mark Reuss has some very high praise for the 2024 Chevy Trax, calling it one of the best entry-level Chevys in many years.
“This is something we’re getting to launch here, obviously, and this about a $19,000 price point that is profitable. This is probably in my career, and maybe beyond that, the finest entry-level Chevrolet that this company, and I think the market, has seen in many years,” Reuss said about the all-new 2024 Chevy Trax at the recent GM Investor Day event.
The Bow Tie brand is offering a chance for someone to become a Lead Dream Chaser and drive a brand-new 2024 Chevy Trax, plus receive $100,000 to pursue a lifelong dream or passion project for three months.
2024 Chevy Trax EPA fuel economy numbers are now available, showing that the 2024 Trax bests the 2022 Trax when it comes to fuel efficiency.
Production of the 2024 Chevy Trax began on February 13th. The online configurator tool is now live for the 2024 Trax.
