Inventory levels of the Chevy Trailblazer across the United States were low in the beginning of February 2023, GM Authority sources close to the matter tell us.
There were just 3,733 units of the Chevy Trailblazer on the ground at dealerships as of February 1st. This gives the Trailblazer a 12 days supply, meaning there is sufficient Trailblazer inventory in dealerships to last approximately 12 days at the current sales pace. As reference, the industry average is roughly a 60 days supply.
As a reminder, the current 2023 Chevy Trailblazer is a relatively popular vehicle. GM sold almost 61,000 units of the subcompact crossover over the course of the 2022 calendar year, while Consumer Reports gave the Trailblazer a “recommended” rating.

In the powertrain department, the 2023 Trailblazer is offered with two engine options, including the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, rated at 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, and the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T gasoline engine, rated at 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. Models equipped with the LIH engine, as well as models with the L3T engine and front-wheel drive, are mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission, while 1.3L engines with AWD are mated to the GM 9-speed automatic transmission. FWD is standard, while AWD is optional.
As for structure, the Trailblazer rides on the GM VSS-F vehicle set, while production for the North American market takes place at the GM Bupyeong plant in South Korea.
In case you missed it, the Trailblazer is due for a mid-cycle refresh for the 2024 model year. This revision will feature a redesigned front fascia, completely overhauled interior, new wheel designs unique to each trim level, and new standard features. The current 2023 Trailblazer powertrain is expected to carry over into the upcoming model. Production of the 2024 Trailblazer is currently scheduled for July 2023.

Supplies running tight! Does not bode well for the upcoming Trax and refreshed Trailblazer.
To say inventory levels are at 12 day really does not tell the story.
GM is simply not building enough Trailblazers period to meet demand. They are diverting their chips to full size trucks and SUVs.
The Trailblazer has never had adequate supply since it was introduced over 2 years ago . Most retailers in this area have had virtually no stock , you are lucky to find just 1 on the lot .
The TB offers 4 trims , LS, LT. RS and Activ in front and AWD. Given the inventory across the US dealers would be lucky to have 1 or 2 Trailblazers so they cannot offer the variety of models to meet consumer demand. Try to find a Trailblazer Activ, loaded , I have been looking for the past year and none on this side of the country.
Now GM is bringing a New Trax and the Envista to NA which both use the same chassis and are built in Korea . So now there will be 4 nameplates introduced without inventory to sell . Why launch a vehicle and then not supply inventory to meet the demand does not make sense to me.
My local dealer lists 9 on their website (only 2 Activ), selling at +$1000. A year ago they were +$3000. Agree on GM not selling any fully loaded — moonroof/tailgate package OR the tech package, none with both. A handful existed about a year ago but all within 500 miles of Philadelphia were sold when I called, all over MSRP. I gave in last May and bought a semi-loaded TB Activ without the moonroof package, about 100 miles away, selling at sticker. Heated seats were retrofitted in December but still waiting for the rear park assist. Best of luck with your search.
If I can’t get a Trax in a reasonable time, I’ll be going to the CX-30 (which also has supply constraints, but you can find them on lots still, as long as you don’t want a Turbo). GM has 12 months to figure it out when my Envision lease is up.
one lost costumer ain’t gonna effect them by much 😂
Well considering they sold 30k less than the year prior, and both 2021 and 2022 had people complaining about having to elsewhere to a different model or brand, it’s clearly not just one person. We add up. Duh.
But, if all the -costumers- leave, Mardi Gras is canceled!
(Sorry… too good to pass up )
