Meanwhile, total GM sales thrived during Q4 2022. In fact, the Detroit-based automaker reclaimed its sales crown from Toyota for the 2022 calendar year after the Japan-based automaker temporarily claimed it in 2021. In regards to Q4 2022 ATP figures, GM posted $52,849 per vehicle. That’s down slightly from Q4 2021 numbers, but still represents a strong showing as compared to pre-COVID years.
As a reminder, the 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 is available with four engine choices, incliuding the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, the atmospheric 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, the atmospheric 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, and the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax. Models with the L3B are mated to the GM eight-speed automatic transmission, while the L84, L87 and LZ0 are matched with the GM 10-speed automatic transmission.
Meanwhile, the 2023 Chevy Silverado HD is available with two powerplants – the atmospheric 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine and the 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine. The gasoline engine connects to the GM six-speed automatic transmission, while the diesel engine connects to the Allison-branded GM 10-speed automatic transmission. The upcoming 2024 Silverado HD refresh will bring various changes and updates, including more power and torque for the turbodiesel V8, as well as the standardization of the 10-speed across all models regardless of engines.

Sickening.
What I found interesting in the sales chart was that Chevrolet sold nearly twice as many Corvettes as Bolt EV in Q4.
The more you pay, THE MORE YOU PAY!!
