GM unwrapped the 2024 GMC Sierra HD last October, debuting a full model refresh that includes updated exterior styling, an overhauled cabin space, revisions to the trim level lineup, and powertrain updates, among other changes. Now, interested customers can spec the refreshed 2024 GMC Sierra HD to taste using the official online configurator.
As before, the 2024 GMC Sierra HD is once again offered in 2500 HD and 3500 HD configurations. The trim level lineup includes the base-level Pro, followed by SLE, SLT, AT4, the new-for-2024 AT4X, Denali, and finally, the new-for-2024 GMC Sierra HD Denali Ultimate. To note, the GMC Sierra HD AT4X will launch later in 2024, and as such, is currently unlisted from the official online configurator.
Pricing for the 2024 GMC Sierra HD starts at $46,295 for the 2500 HD Pro in a Regular Cab / Long Bed configuration with 2WD. The most expensive model on offer, specifically the 3500 HD Denali Ultimate in a Crew Cab / Long Bed DRW, starts at $100,695.
With regard to exterior styling, the refreshed 2024 GMC Sierra HD introduces revisions to the front bumper, the fascia, and the grille, presenting a bold, upright face with L-shaped lighting signatures lining the headlamps. The 2024 model year also introduces six new exterior colors, including Titanium Rush Metallic, Sterling Metallic, Volcanic Red Tintcoat, Redwood Metallic, Meteorite Metallic, and Downpour Metallic.
Inside, tech features and amenities vary a great deal between the various trim levels, with SLE and SLT trim levels offering a unique interior treatment, and AT4, Denali, and Denali Ultimate trim levels offering a premium interior design. Wi-Fi capability, Bluetooth, and Apple CarPlay / Android Auto support are all included as standard.
With regard to the power spec, the 2024 GMC Sierra HD features the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine as standard, rated at 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. The 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine is optional, doling out an uprated 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque with the latest refresh.
As a reminder, the 2024 GMC Sierra HD rides on a more-capable variant of the GM T1 platform, with production taking place at the GM Flint plant in Michigan.

Awesome truck, hope the Chevy configurator goes live soon
Well top of the line just hit over $100k.
But nice to see the AT4 fully load about $1,500 more then the 2023.
I am to waiting for the Chevy to go online too. Have a 2021 with the Chrome Sport package in White . Would love to see what it will look like in a ’24
I see GM finally joined the flat gray option. The new AT4 in the new Thunderstorm Gray looks awesome. Is thee any chance they might offer it as a mid season colour option on the 1500’s ? I am about to order a new 1500 AT4 and I would wait for this colour in a heartbeat.
I understand the flat gray (Thunderstorm Gray) option will not be available on the GMC Sierra 3500 until August 2023. Has anyone else heard the same, or otherwise, regarding this timing?
Any pictures of this color other than what’s shown on the configuration tool? I ordered a 24 in this color and want to see what it’s actually going to look like.
Well I checked on the ultimate rendition. I was hoping they would have better photos on the paint finishes. The paint shows no effects of metalic or true color. I am looking at the “Downpour Metalic”, “Redwood metalic”. “Titanium Rush metalic” I have 3 colors I like but will need a better view and another will there be any other models with the same colors so I can see it at the dealers? I have seen I think the Downpour on a photo OP and it appeard the color changes with different angles. But the redwood is a totally different color pallet. On the inside, I also was wondering will the system display text messages? This would result in a better reception by customers, I know its a distraction but I’ll leave it at that. Just to use vocal reading from the display screen. Maybe a reply by verbal command? One can hope. It would be nice to see a better discription of the new things, more details. Is the Google maps a true copy of those on Android cell phone, or is it a cheap copy missing options. How about WAZE is that able to be loaded? I also wondering the difference on tow packages. One has wiring under the chassis and the other puts the 7 pin plug inside the bed? is the camera plug also “inside” the bed? Once the free cell service can one pair their own personal phone to get the WIFI to contiue its braodcast on the interior?
I have already talked to my salesman on a special order for my ultimate denali. This time I want every thing I have added on my 2020 Denali plus some other items. My 2020 has 14,500 miles on her, and extreemely clean.
On the AT4 your color choices are White, Black, Red or (3) shades of Gray….seriously? Was really hoping to see Forest Metallic offered. That’s a great color.
Well today I canceled my Ultimate Denali. We had it all going but several “materials hold” for several items on my wish list. I told my salesman when we get solid info that those items are release and I will be there like flies on fresh manure! But sadly we WILL hold off.

I have a 2022 AT4 HD. The 2023 version is $7k more. The 2024 version is $4k more than the 2023 version. So that’s $11k increase in 2 model years for same truck except new grill, bigger infotainment, and 10 speed transmission. Still waiting on twin turbo for 6.6 gas. Had my truck since Jan 2022 – and still don’t have heated steering wheel retrofit. GM is on crack. And so are a lot of buyers.
Grill needs to be bigger, and it needs more doors………….Come on guys, build a bold TRUCK!!!!!!!!!
Appears you have small deek syndrome
Awesome, now I can check out the new colors that will be available for this truck.
Double Cab no longer available with SLT and no way to get a Double Cab SLE with center console/ bucket seats. 😩 Bummed I can’t get the configuration I want because I love everything else about these 2024s
I agree 100%. I placed an order for a 23 SLT club cab long box on 2/7/23. 3 weeks later was told GMC not accepting. So, looked at the 24 and the SLT was unavailable in my configuration. Am now switching to the Silverado LTZ. Also color choices for both brands are crap. They eliminated all of what I call earth tones. White, 7 shades of black or gray, red and blue. Really!
I’ll am still placing my order for the LTZ but was not my first choice.
Does anyone here know how to order one of these with Downpour Metallic (GXP)? I went through the configurator and it let me choose an SLT crew cab with downpour as a color choice… But when working with the dealer, their build tool didn’t have an option for this.
OMG…..Cost more than my house…..GM has gone stupid and 4.9 % is not “low” interest rate..60 months is not long enuf….your payments for top of the line D.U. well over $2000 a month…..GM no longer wants the average consumer and is catering to the “rich” elite.
How long does it take to get a truck once it has entered production?
