GM unveiled the refreshed 2024 GMC Sierra HD last October, revealing new exterior styling, an overhauled interior, a new trim level lineup, and a few powertrain updates to boot. Now, we’re getting a look at the 2024 GMC Sierra HD AT4 in Summit White paint out in the real world courtesy of the following GM Authority Live Photo Gallery.
For those readers who may be unaware, the 2024 GMC Sierra HD AT4 slots in above the SLT trim level as the entry off-roader of the lineup, offering plenty of capability on the rough stuff, but not quite to the same level as the new-for-2024 GMC Sierra HD AT4X.
Covered in Summit White paint (paint code GAZ), this 2024 GMC Sierra HD AT4 presents a bold front fascia that incorporates the latest styling cues introduced with the 2024-model-year refresh. The front end includes a horizontally oriented grille treatment, C-shaped lighting signatures, vertical lower lighting elements, and red tow hooks.
Interestingly, this particular model is running a set of wheels not normally offered on the 2024 GMC Sierra HD. In the corners, we spot 20-inch 10-spoke machined aluminum wheels with Grazen Metallic painted accents (RPO code Q86), which are usually equipped as standard on the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD Custom, and optional for the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD LT. What’s more, these rollers were also equipped by the pre-refresh Silverado HD Carhartt Edition.
To note, the 2024 GMC Sierra HD AT4 normally wears a set of 20-inch 8-spoke High Gloss black aluminum wheels (RPO code Q7N).
Further details for this particular example include a set of 4-inch round Black tubular assist steps (RPO code RVS), which are normally optional for the GMC Sierra HD Pro trim level only.
As for what’s under the hood, exterior badging indicates that this 2024 GMC Sierra HD AT4 is motivated by the 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine, which now develops 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque, as compared to ratings of 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque seen prior to the 2024-model-year refresh. The 2024 GMC Sierra HD is equipped as standard with the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine, which is rated at 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque and now mates to the Allison-branded 10-speed automatic transmission.
Under the body panels, the 2024 GMC Sierra HD once again rides on a more-capable variant of the GM T1 platform. Sierra HD production takes place at the GM Flint plant in Michigan.

Summit white… what a great color! I guess GM will be deleting it soon.
Wouldn’t surprise me at all. GM deleted silver, which was a really popular color. Now, it looks like GM is the only manufacturer not to offer silver paint color on any model! Ridiculous.
Getting less and less but just costing more to buy more to fix, why is it the same paint in chevy cost about $500 more in gmc ?
Looks ok except for the wheels, look like flower blossoms.
FINALLY some shots of the AT4.
Looks just like a Chevy Custom Pkg.. Justy over priced priced and over rated like all the GMC’s.. GM should get rid of GMC and dominate the truck market with their premier Chevy line..
Yep, those are the Chevrolet HD 20″ 10-spoke machined aluminum wheels with Grazen Metallic painted accents. I don’t hate the look of them on a GMC, kind of reminds me of the 17″ Matte-Black / Diamond-Cut wheels on the 2022 Ram Power Wagon.
I liked it in some of the GM pictures but now I do not like the AT4, at least not in this color. There is something strange about the front grill that I can’t explain. The wheels are hokey too.
