As GM Authority previously reported back in June 2022, the mid-cycle refresh of the Cadillac XT4 will receive the GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving technology. While this remains true, we’ve now learned that the 2024 Cadillac XT4 won’t feature the self-diving technology at launch.
During a recent media briefing ahead of the 2024 XT4 reveal, Cadillac Global Vice President Rory Harvey said that Super Cruise wouldn’t be available at launch, instead arriving later on at an unspecified date.
“Super Cruise is not available, but we do have a plan to introduce it at a point in time,” Harvey was quoted as saying. “We have a rollout plan in terms of Super Cruise by vehicle prioritization, and it is a part of that rollout plan.”
In case you missed it, here’s a breakdown on the updates to the luxury crossover. Starting on the exterior, the XT4 will receive a revised front fascia and new lighting arrangement. This enhanced lighting will include horizontal elements that form the headlights, as well as a vertical string of lights. Out back, the rear taillights are slightly altered. The overall design follows Cadillac’s latest design language, and a similar scheme can be seen on the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq.
Moving to the interior, the 2024 XT4 is set to receive a new widescreen digital instrument panel and infotainment screen that stretches across the entire dashboard. As a result, the dashboard has also been redesigned, with the center stack air vents now located lower than before, positioned below the infotainment screen. Additionally, the steering wheel design will be altered, and includes larger chrome accenting.
It’s worth noting that the Cadillac XT4 was originally slated to receive a mid-cycle refresh for the 2022 model year, but difficulties arising from the COVID-19 pandemic forced the update to be pushed back a couple of model years.
Under the hood, the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 is expected to carry over the same turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine as the current 2023 model, with output rated at 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Production will kick off at the GM Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas City on April 24th, 2023.

GM Supercruise rolls out is difficult, OTA pending on Lyriq.
At least tell us, what is the issue, chip issue? Engineering? Quality? Certification?
It’s so difficult to figure out how to configure one, then wait for a year, then figure out your options is not available.
It’s delayed so gm can charge you more for it. Elon was the first to figure this out. Great way to stick you for more money on a car you already bought.
You honestly needed to ask what’s the issue with Supercruise? You aren’t aware of part scarcity and material shortages going on right now?? You people are absolutely astonishing sometimes. Y’all act like Supercruise doesn’t require much at all, and it’s something GM is dropping the ball on.
GM wouldn’t be the only manufacturer experiencing issues with production – but of course the delusional GM haters are swarming here in the comments to insinuate just that. Incredibly silly.
They should also include the XT5 with super cruise and have it available in this country with the dash changes.
The changes to the XT4 should be the same changes to the XT6 period. Can someone confirm if this will happen? Also, even though the new XT5 will be China only, why can’t the XT5 receive the same MCE as the XT4?
Interior is greatly improved.
Realize how many dislikes you have for simply saying it’s greatly improved. I do not understand why GMA has so many trolls and HATERS here that closely follow GM news solely just so they can be a total TROLL in the comments about anything positive going on at General Motors. They hope for any negative press so they can lash out. I do not understand who is running the site, or why they allow it. Because if you’re not a customer of GM, why are you even here??
You’re anti-GM but you follow everything that’s GM related. Make that make sense. Lol.
