Per previous GM Authority coverage, Cadillac recently unveiled the upcoming mid-cycle refresh for the 2024 Cadillac XT4. On the same day, the luxury marque announced that the refreshed XT4 will also arrive in Canada for Canadian customers, albeit with a select few subtle differences over the U.S.-bound models.
Most aspects regarding the luxury crossover remain the same between the two markets. However, Canadian 2024 XT4 models are equipped with the U.S. variant’s Cold Weather Package (RPO code Y19) as standard affair. This package features standard heated front seats (RPO code KA1), heated rear outboard seats (RPO code KA6) and a heated steering wheel (RPO code KI3).
It’s worth noting that on U.S. models, the Y19 package is optional across the trim lineup.
For those who may have missed it, here’s the lowdown on the updates and changes for the 2024 Cadillac XT4. The front fascia has been updated to include an updated grille design and new LED headlights with signature vertical lighting cues. Meanwhile, the rear fascia also received slight updates.
On the inside, the cabin has been completely overhauled, and now features a 33-inch, 9K-resolution LED color touchscreen. Prospective buyers also have new choices regarding interior color and trimmings, with brushed aluminum trim, Piano Black trim, genuine wood, and genuine carbon fiber making the list. In addition, the 2024 XT4 is also available with a 14-speaker audio system from AKG, 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capability, and wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto capability.
On the tech side, more than a dozen safety features are included as standard, including the likes of Blind Zone Steering Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning. Additionally, as GM Authority was first to report, the refreshed luxury crossover will eventually also offer GM’s semi-autonomous driving technology, Super Cruise.
Under the hood, the current 2023 XT4’s powertrain is carried over. This includes the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and the GM nine-speed automatic transmission. Both FWD and AWD configurations are available.
Production of the 2024 XT4 is set to commence in April at the GM Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas City. Pricing information For Canada has yet to be released.
