2023 Cadillac XT5 Latte Metallic Paint No Longer Available To Order

Latte Metallic paint (color code G5D) is no longer available to order on the 2023 Cadillac XT5 for the remainder of the model year, GM Authority has learned. The Latte Metallic paint color will be built out (discontinued) after the week of March 6th, 2023.

GM introduced Latte Metallic as an available exterior paint color on the 2022 Cadillac XT5, in conjunction with Rosewood Metallic. This made these hues the fifth and sixth metallic exterior color options for the 2022 model year, with Latte Metallic as the only beige option.

Priced at $625, Latte Metallic was an available color option on all 2023 Cadillac XT5 trim levels, including Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport. The color could also be combined with all interior colorways:

  • Cirrus with Dark Titanium accents
  • Cirrus with Jet Black accents
  • Jet Black
  • Kona Brown Sauvage with Jet Black accents
  • Maple Sugar with Jet Black accents
  • Sedona Sauvage with Jet Black accents

It’s unclear at this point whether or not Latte Metallic will return as a color option on the 2024 Cadillac XT5.

Latte Metallic paint is not the only option currently unavailable on the 2023 Cadillac XT5. Two LPO or dealer-installed wheel sets are currently under constraint, making them unavailable to order on Luxury and Premium Luxury trim levels, though customers can still order them on the Sport trim. The two wheels in question are:

  • 20-inch Chrome wheels, LPO, priced at $3,095 (RPO code S1T)
  • 20-inch Gloss Black wheels, LPO, priced at $2,495 (RPO code S2K)

In January 2023, Consumer Reports gave the luxury CUV a “recommended” rating in late January 2023, highlighting acceleration, transmission, and braking performance, plus comfort and the overall driving experience, resulting in a score of 67 out of 100 points.

The 2023 Cadillac XT5 represents the seventh model year of the nameplate’s first generation. The 2024 Cadillac XT5 is on its way, with GM Authority exclusively learning that production will begin in June 2023. The 2024 model year will be a continuation of the XT5’s current first generation, seeing only small changes over the 2023 model. In fact, the 2024 XT5 will likely become the final model year of the XT5 in North America. A second-gen XT5 will launch in 2024 exclusively in China, as GM continues its pivot toward electric vehicles.

As a reminder, the 2023 Cadillac XT5 is available with two engine options, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, developing 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and the optional naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine rated at 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. Models with the LSY engine wear the 350T badge on the liftgate, whereas models with the LGX get the 400 badge.

Both engines are paired as standard with the GM nine-speed automatic transmission, with FWD and AWD drivetrain configurations available. All first-gen XT5 models ride on the GM C1 platform, with production taking place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.

    1. Paint is usually to be ordered from supplies in pre-determined amounts specified at time of contract. Likely just reached the limit of this color’s contract. I do agree though, Cadillac is desperately uncompetitive with this XT5.

  3. This is still a beautiful crossover even though its 7 years old now. All it really needs is the same refresh as the XT4 is getting. Oh by the way, where is the refreshed 2024 XT4. It hits production in April.
