2023 Cadillac CT4-V Rift Metallic Paint No Longer Available To Order

The 2023 Cadillac CT4 introduces the third model year for the nameplate, once again offering the spicier Cadillac CT4-V variant. Now, GM Authority has learned that the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V is no longer available to order in Rift Metallic paint.

The Rift Metallic paint option for the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V is tagged with paint code GRW, and according to GM Authority sources, will be built out after the week of March 27th, 2023.

Rift Metallic paint was previously available for the Cadillac CT4-V for an extra $625 up-charge. The paint option was not offered on Luxury, Premium Luxury, or Sport trim levels of the Cadillac CT4. Rift Metallic paint was available in combination with the two Cadillac CT4-V interior colorways, including:

  • Jet Black with Jet Black accents
  • Sangria with Jet Black accents

Rift Metallic paint was first introduced for the Cadillac CT4-V with the 2021 model year, dropping in alongside Infrared Tintcoat as one of the two new exterior colors for the model year. The 2023 Cadillac CT4-V deleted three previous exterior colors, including Satin Steel Metallic, Shadow Metallic, and Infrared Tintcoat, while Radiant Red Tintcoat, Argent Silver Metallic, and Midnight Steel Metallic were added.

At this point, it’s unclear if Rift Metallic will once again be available for the 2024 model year. However, the 2024 Cadillac CT4 is expected to introduce a full model refresh, and thus will likely introduce an updated list of exterior paint options as well.

As for the hard bits under the hood, the Cadillac CT4-V is equipped with the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, which is rated at 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque, all of which is directed through GM’s 10-speed automatic transmission. Power hits the ground through either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, depending on the configuration. The sprint to 60 mph takes an estimated 4.8 seconds, with top speed rated at 156 mph.

Under the body panels, the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V rides on the GM Alpha 2 platform. Production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

  1. Great color. If I was going to trade my White Diamond XTS, I’d be looking at Rift.
