Several months after the launch of the new 2023 Corvette Z06 in the United States, General Motors has just announced that the most radical variant of the Corvette C8 so far is officially arriving in Mexico.
The automaker’s Mexican subsidiary announced the introduction of the new 2023 Corvette Z06 in the Latin country as part of the iconic Corvette nameplate’s 70th anniversary celebration, which kicked off on January 17th with the world debut of the all-new 2024 Corvette E-Ray AWD hybrid. As such, Mexico becomes the first country outside of the United States and Canada to receive the eighth-generation Corvette Z06.
“The stunning look, sound and feel of the 2023 Corvette Z06 are the result of work and focus that represents the ultimate in supercar expertise,” said Manager of Electric and Sports Vehicles at GM Mexico, Carlos de la Mora. “This new Z06 was designed and engineered to set higher standards in detail, customization and performance,” he added.
In particular, the new 2023 Corvette Z06 arrives in Mexico exclusively with a coupe body and two distinctive variants that include the regular Z06 and the 70th Anniversary Special Edition. Both configurations include an extensive list of features and the Z07 Performance Package as standard, while the 70th Anniversary Special Edition adds its own finish that rounds up sport stripes, badging, red-outlined wheels and a unique interior.
The 2023 Corvette Z06’s powertrain is highlighted by the new 5.5L V8 LT6 engine that produces an impressive 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, making it the most powerful naturally aspirated engine ever offered in a production vehicle. The mighty LT6 comes mated to the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and enables the new Z06 to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds.
The new 2023 Corvette Z06 coupe is now available for sale in the exclusive network of 10 Chevrolet Performance stores located in the main cities of Mexico, including the capital CDMX, Puebla, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Cancún and Culiacán. Like the other variants of the nameplate, Corvette Z06 units arrive in Mexico from the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky. Here are the prices of the two available versions:
- 2023 Corvette Z06: 3,687,100 pesos (about $194,600 USD at the current exchange rate)
- 2023 Corvette Z06 70th Anniversary Special Edition: 3,796,100 pesos ($200,300 USD)

The picture of the Vette in black should be a poster.
At those dollar/peso conversion prices, the drug cartels will be the only ones that can afford it.
We have people lining up here in America with money falling out of their pockets. How about we take care of our needs first?
Our government and corporations take care of everybody else around the globe first, and America last.
Screwed again by GM!!!
For those of us that sit here waiting for our Z06 order, Chevy comes out with the Eray which appears to be a better car than the Z06 (and at a lesser price). And now to add insult to injury, Chevy is now selling the Z06 in Mexico. If I ever get my Z06 it will be my 5th and last Corvette.
Agree with the early comments what a joke can’t get them here but they export them to Mexico and the e-ray really is the hybrid it’s about as far as they should go with it not full of electric but I have my doubts that I will buy another Corvette now first I want a gasoline vehicle it looks like a Chevrolet’s going to abandon that whole format but I’m sure someone will step up and fill the gap with a unique sports car meanwhile the morons will continue to weaken our electric grid and then tell you that you can’t charge your car when you need to good luck America you’re going to need it
This is like watching The View, all these whining b!tches.
The photo of the black Corvette is mistakenly labeled as a Z06 but is just a base C8
The article refers to the 70th Anniversary.
