New 2024 Corvette E-Ray Announced In The Middle East

Shortly after the world debut of the all-new 2024 Corvette E-Ray on Tuesday, January 17th in New York City, General Motors announced the brand-new electrified version of the iconic sports car in the Middle East.

The automaker’s regional subsidiary took advantage of the all-new 2024 Corvette E-Ray‘s North American debut to confirm that the vehicle will arrive this year in the countries of Southwest Asia. As such, the Middle East became the first region in the world outside of North America to announced the Corvette E-Ray’s eventual introduction.

“The Middle East is renowned globally for its appreciation of fast, powerful, beautiful sports cars and the launch of the E-Ray will take this passion stratospheric,” said Communications Director GM Africa & Middle East, Ronald Balit. “Every Corvette has surpassed the one before it and the E-Ray is no exception, bringing breakthrough electrified technology and revolutionary performance to roads in the Middle East,” he added.

Notably, the all-new 2024 Corvette E-Ray stands out as the first electrified version of the legendary nameplate and the first-ever AWD Corvette, an unprecedented combination that further raises the bar for performance and driving experience. In fact, the 2024 E-Ray is also the quickest Corvette ever, being able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds.

The 2024 Corvette E-Ray’s hybrid powertrain combines the model’s familiar naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 mid-mounted engine with a front-axle-mounted electric motor, generating an additional 160 horsepower and 125 pound-feet, offering a total combined output of 655 horsepower. Added to this is a 1.9 kWh battery pack located beetween the seats and an eAWD system that applies the extra power to the front wheels.

The all-new 2024 Corvette E-Ray will be officially launched and begin arriving at dealerships in the Middle East later this year, shortly after its launch in the United States, which is also scheduled for the last months of 2023. The objective of the company with the early introduction of the Corvette E-Ray in said region is to capitalize on the strong attraction for super sports cars that local customers have.

  1. I read that GM has delayed E-Ray production until December?
There were zero Z06 allocations in January.
I’ve been waiting 9 months for a Sierra Ultimate Denali.
    Same old story.

  2. GM can’t fill orders in the US for anything, but by golly they sure can push them to other countries. I asked my dealer about ordering a C8 and he told me that the wait list is something over a year plus.

I can’t by a new full-sized Cadillac unless it’s that fugly Celestiq EV thing for $300K+ (absolutely no way) or a compact car like the CT4/5 (junk, not a luxury sedan by any stretch of the imagination), but I can get a CUV/SUV or a mall crawler pickup…no thanks to all of that crap, too.

  3. Yesterday you announced the E-Ray for Mexico, now the Middle East! How about fulfilling my Z06 or E-Ray and delivering all other US-based customer orders first?
