The GMC Hummer EV Pickup is dripping with wild stats and mind-boggling figures, but now, we’re upping the ante with this insane GMC Hummer EV Pickup 6×6 rendering.
From the off, we should state that we created this thing purely for fun, and that as cool as it looks, GM doesn’t actually plan on building it. That said, we’d love to see GMC follow through with some sort of concept like this, even if it’s just to make a statement.
And what a statement it would be. The custom 6×6 vehicle build has been gaining in popularity over the last few years, with folks attaching an extra axle to models like the Chevy Silverado, or even a GMC motorhome, per previous GM Authority coverage. We even went so far as to render up a hypothetical GMC Hummer EV SUV 6×6 concept last month. Now, we’re applying the same treatment to the pickup body style.
One could argue that the pickup body style is a better fit for the 6×6 layout, given that the long bed provides a nice platform to stuff in the extra wheels and drive components. The rest of the vehicle looks familiar, with the characteristic horizontal fascia and squared-off greenhouse. However, the rear end of this monster juts out considerably, stuffing in an extra pair of knobby off-road tires and bronze wheels in back.
Not only does this thing look pretty crazy, but as an EV, it might even outperform the standard GMC Hummer EV Pickup Edition 1. The extra wheels provide an opportunity to install additional GM Ultium drive motors, while the extended length affords additional room for an even-larger GM Ultium battery pack.
With 1,000 horsepower on tap, the standard Hummer EV Pickup Edition 1 is certainly no slouch. However, we could see this 6×6 concept easily eclipse that figure to produce 1,200 horsepower, 1,300 horsepower, or maybe even more. It really depends on how crazy you want to get with it, and well, this thing definitely looks crazy.

Hennessey special vehicles should make this!
I want to be the tow truck driver that is called when it gets stuck in the snow/dirt or can’t get out of the parking spot.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
A waste of good tires
I’m sorry an EV Hummer, in any configuration, makes no sense period!
Looks nice, I’d suppose that would be an additional $50k for the Dual Axle Option…Lol.
. . . With Curb Weight of about 12000 lbs. You’d probably have to get a CDL.
