Here’s When 2024 Buick Envision Production Will Start

The 2024 Buick Envision represents the fourth model year of the second-generation Tri-Shield brand crossover, which poised to introduce a mid-cycle refresh. Now, GM Authority has exclusively learned when production of updated Envision will kick off.

Start of regular production (SORP) for the refreshed 2024 Buick Envision is currently scheduled for October 30th, 2023 at the GM Jinqiao plant in Beijing, China. Meanwhile, production of the 2023 model-year Envision is scheduled to end at the Jinquiao plant on October 27th, 2023.

For those who may be unaware what this mid-cycle refresh entails, here’s what we know thus far. The crossover’s exterior design will draw inspiration from that of the upcoming Buick Envista, while other styling elements will be borrowed from the Buick Wildcat EV concept, which also serves as inspiration for future Buick electric vehicle designs.

As more detail, the front fascia will feature long and angular lighting elements that extend from the fascia to the front fenders. More signature lighting will be seen below, mounted in a vertical orientation.

Out back, the 2024 Envision will be characterized by a new set of taillamps, which have yet to be officially revealed. Additionally, the exhaust system will be neatly hidden under the front bumper.

Finally, the refreshed 2024 Buick Envision’s cabin is expected to boast a larger infotainment screen. To date, GM Authority photographers have spied a prototype 2024 Envision undergoing testing. Unfortunately, this unit was heavily camouflaged, making it difficult to glean more specific details.

As for the current 2023 Buick Envision, its sales fell by 17 percent to 7,663 units in Q4 2022, while significant supply constraints as a result of COVID-19-related lockdown measures in China prevented dealers from offering adequate inventory. As such, the 2024 Envision is expected to sell better than the current model-year vehicle.

  1. As a 2021 Envision Avenir owner, I would make the following suggestions for the refresh. Bear in mind I LOVE my current one. If you keep Sirius XM mandatory, I’ll do the XT4. So far that may be the better deal, and it is made in North America.
Make the infotainment screen paralell to the passenger compartment, not angled at the driver. Passenger use is very awkward.
Deeper front seat cushion. Hard on back of thighs after long trip.
Forget making Sirius XM “mandatory” What a crock! No need for it. I don’t want to susidize an obsolete product. Just give it up!
Roll up cargo cover instead of a hard shell. Have to remove when you need to carry taller objects.

    1. Being 75 years old now & having many vehicles a lot of public opinions on what we should have, or not on vehicles is hogwash, the Edsel vehicle proved that.
I have a 2023 Envision & is a very fine automobile, GM should be Advertising this vehicle a lot more.
Entry & Exit is a big plus for me & what they have an edge over their competitors is Dual adjustment seats, a lot of people don’t realize this great feature until they purchased another vehicle that does not gave that electric switch for up & down, on both Front Seats, thank you Buick.

Now we just need to bring Buick back to the USA & lower the Union Demands here to be price competitive, our young people need careers other than Computers.

  4. Envision is a beautiful vehicle. My bet is refreshing will ruin the symmetry & especially the unique from facia. Envision has proven popular and should be the future design inspiration.
    GM will kill Buick yet

  5. Besides the mandatory Onstar, the other major difference between the XT4 and the Envision is the warranty. GM wants to slowly reduce Buick’s longtime status as “Premium American Motorcars”. Maybe if they reinstated the 4 yr 50,000 as they did in model year 2019 and earlier, they would gain a little marketshare.

    1. So far I have been leasing, but if I purchased, that would be a consideration as well. Resale (residual) is so strong compared to my buyout price, I should have significant equity for my next lease/purchase.

    2. GM needs to quit playing games. The warranty is built into the price of the vehicle. These vehicles are not cheap!
If these cars are so great why isn’t the warranty longer? Why does a “Premium American Motorcar” have a warranty that is miniscule compared to the Koreans? I always thought that “When Better Cars Are Built, Buick Will Build Them”.

      1. I guess we are getting old to remember the catch phrases ! The 25 yo has no idea of Brand identity. The sad part I dont think GM does either when it comes to Buick.

  7. The Buick Envision front grill is so nice, why change it.
The Buck logo on the grill with the chrome going across is so nice, why put it on the hood and spoil the nice looks
    of the front.
