Here’s How Much The 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing’s Maverick Noir Frost Paint Will Cost

Cadillac is offering a new, limited-edition paint color for the 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing dubbed Maverick Noir Frost Matte Black, enhancing the super sedan’s obvious curb appeal with even more attention-grabbing goodness. Now, GM Authority has learned how much this new hue will add to the 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing’s bottom line, and the figure may come as a shock.

According to GM Authority sources, the limited-edition Maverick Noir Frost Matte Black paint option for the 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing will cost a whopping $8,120.

Of course, the CT5-V Blackwing isn’t exactly cheap to begin with, with MSRP starting at $90,995 before options or markups. Even so, more than $8,000 for paint is certainly noteworthy. That said, the paint does look quite good, as seen in a new teaser image from Cadillac that shows the profile of the 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing dressed in Maverick Noir Frost Matte Black.

Back in May of 2022, GM Authority was the first to report that the 2023 CT5-V Blackwing would offer Maverick Noir Frost Matte Black paint. Tagged with paint code GNW, the new hue arrives as the limited-edition Dark Emerald Front paint option exits, with the latter priced at $3,925. Like Dark Emerald Frost, which is also a matte finish, Maverick Noir Frost Matte Black will likely require special care.

With regard to pairing with interior colorways, Maverick Noir Frost Matte Black will be available in conjunction with Jet Black with Jet Black Accents, Natural Tan with Jet Black Accents, and Sky Cool Gray with Jet Black Accents.

As for the greasy bits under the skin, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is motivated by the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, with the GM Alpha 2 platform providing the bones. Production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

  1. I get inflation and all but 8k on top of the normal cost is a bit much. It will likely be a very limited run.

  2. ..it is expensive but with the 6.2 motor supercharged…it may be a good buy..should run with Camaros and Vettes. Gm should try it at Rolex 24 in Daytona..May Junior Earnhart and the crew could drive it .

  3. The $3995 Dark Emerald Frost (matte green) was quickly discontinued on the 2022 Blackwings. Not sure how an $8000 paint option will sit with buyers.

  4. Matte Black…us hot rodders/customizers have been calling it black suede, flat black, sheen, primer, for decades. My dad was doing black suede back in the early 50s

  5. Sorry, flat or matte paint doesn’t do it for me. Looks like acid rain ate away the entire finish.

    1. Or they forgot to spray the clear coat.

  6. 8 grand for dull paint that looks like they forgot to spray the clearcoat. Only at EV funding GM
