As covered previously, the 2024 Chevy Trax is decked out in Chevrolet’s latest ICE-based styling language, with obvious inspiration taken from models like the Chevy Blazer crossover. The exterior dimensions are also lower, longer, and wider than the previous generation.
As for the mechanical bits, the 2024 Chevy Trax features the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine as standard, with output rated at 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. Under the body, the new 2024 Chevy Trax rides on the GM VSS-F vehicle set.

Seems pretty reasonable. More affordable vehicles, please.
As long as it doesn’t turn into a fiasco like the Ford Maverick with dealers adding absurd markups.
The vehicle is nice looking. The prices are very reasonable. It’s a good size. The prices on options/packages are reasonable.
This will be a very strong seller for Chevy. Good job by them.
But please, on top of this and the other very good products they have or have coming out, bring out one smaller city type car that would sell for less than this.
Too bad, looks like every other SUV on the road.
Nice looking little ride in R/S or Activ, looks like GM purposely kept it FWD as not to compete with the less desirable Trailblazer.
I think it already is . I’d buy this over AWD trailblazer . They are both crossovers
Why do you believe the Trailblazer is less desirable? The 23 Trailblazer is nice and when the 24 Trailblazer goes on sale it will likely have all of the updates that the very similar Trax has.
Bruce, maybe you’re taking my comment on the Trailblazer the wrong way. Both CUV’s are attractive, IMO the Trax is more appealing, and to your point the 24 Trailblazer will probably take styling cues from the Trax, making both more desirable. Gm will have a dilemma on there hands if they don’t offer both with AWD.
Pretty good stuff here I think I would get the driver package , LT package , with rear park assist
Well GM lost me when they quit putting v-6 engine in equinox.. the trac sucks got bad reviews to small no power..
The 2.0 turbo in the equinox was worlds better than any v6 option
The new Trax should be a success for GM as people downsize because of economic uncertainties. Supply chain and chip shortage issues haven’t even been fully sorted out, and here comes a recession.
Finally, a decent looking affordable vehicle with nice safety and technology packages to choose from. The Trax should do well for GM.
Where will it be made?
I believe Korea.
I bought 2024 Trax RS and it is nice look at but that’s about it. Too much plastic inside. Engine straight up is poor. Theirs no power to get the get up go. Why now iam trading it in for something that’s got power in motor. First Chevy ever bought and left bad taste in my mouth.
