Even with the new digital driver instrument panel, the Yukon still features two interior designs, differentiating the Denali model from the rest of the lineup.
For the 2023 model year GM introduced a new range-topping 2023 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate as “the most premium Yukon ever offered.” It comes standard with Vader chrome exterior trim, 22-inch wheels, full-grain leather upholstery, open-pore wood trim, premium audio equipment, and more, including GM’s Rear Seat Media System.
A small price increase was applied to the 2023 GMC Yukon lineup, with GM raising the MSRP of the full-size SUV by $500 across the board. In addition, a mandatory three-year OnStar and Connected Services plan has been added to all Yukon trim levels, with the price ranging from $905 to $1,500. The 2023 Yukon received another price increase last September, ranging from $800 to $1,400 depending on trim level.
Last month the 2023 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL received a destination freight charge increase of $100 to $1,895, up from $1,795. The models also received expanded Super Cruise driving coverage, with select GMC Yukon and Yukon XL units among the first to get this updated feature. Accessibility has been now been doubled to cover more than 400,000 miles of roads in the United States and Canada, up from the previous 200,000-plus miles. Furthermore, the 2023 Yukon and Yukon XL now see the return of the Brembo Performance Brake Kit.
Refreshed 2024 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL models are set to arrive next year. We spied the 2024 GMC Yukon for the first time last February, and a month later our spies caught the 2024 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate testing out in the wild. Just last month, we spied the refreshed 2024 GMC Yukon testing again.
The latest prototypes reveal that the front fascia looks will get a thorough revision, with a new, broad grille design and reshaped lighting. The C-shaped lighting signatures are once again present and accounted for, but now look a bit brighter than before, while the central vertical lighting elements are new as well. The look will take cues from the refreshed GMC Sierra, as well as possibly the GMC Sierra EV, with LED signatures highlighting the updated face. Fog lights will ditch the vertical orientation of the current model in favor of rounder projector-style units. The rear will feature revisions to the taillight housings, likely with new LED lighting elements.
Production of the 2023 GMC Yukon kicked kick off at the GM Arlington plant in Texas on July 18th, 2022. The online configurator tool is now live for the 2023 Yukon.
Production start of the refreshed 2024 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL is currently scheduled for November 2023.
