The GM Authority Take

After experiencing a seven-month-long streak of consecutive monthly gains, Chevrolet Colombia sales saw fell slightly in November. The Bowtie brand lost momentum in the Colombian market during the penultimate month of the year, when a little more than half of the listed models were in the red.

In addition to the negative impact of discontinued models such as the Beat, the drop in Chevrolet Colombia sales in November was driven by the N-Series truck lineup and a lower growth rate for the Chevy Onix compared to prior months. In fact, commercial trucks lost their usual second place among the best sellers, while the Onix represented less than half of the brand’s total volume for the first time in recent months in Colombia.

However, several of the brand’s models managed to post healthy growth rates in November, including the Chevy Equinox, Captiva and Colorado. Despite suffering another major drop, the Chevy Tracker experienced a significant improvement of nearly 200 units in volume over October as the crossover’s local supply stabilizes, thanks to the Tracker now arriving to Colombia from Argentina.
