The 2022 Buick Envision brought several updates and new features, including additional content for the optional 2022 Buick Envision Sport Touring package. The 2022 Buick Envision was listed among the best new crossovers under $40,000 according to Consumer Reports, following a recognition just a few months earlier where the publication named the 2021 Buick Envision a top luxury SUV to buy.
The 2023 Envision represents the third model year of the premium compact crossover’s second generation. It remains largely unchanged from the current 2022 model year, save for a few updates to the color palette and package lineup, including adding new standard equipment to the Avenir trim level. Also, the 2023 Envision received pricing increases, which includes the $1,500 charge for the addition of the mandatory three-year OnStar and Connected Services plan.
In December, Consumer Reports named Buick Envision among the best vehicles to fit three child car seats.
The 2024 Buick Envision will introduce a mid-cycle refresh that includes new styling and a revised interior. Recently, we spied a refreshed 2024 Buick Envision testing in prototype form. The new look will draw inspiration from the 2024 Buick Envista that is set to make its North American debut sometime in the first half of the 2023 calendar year, likely this spring. This all-new, entry-level crossover will bring the Tri-Shield brand’s lineup back up to four models, as the Buick Encore was retired at the end of the 2022 model year. The new model incorporates sleek, streamlined styling lines and taut surfaces inspired by those of the Buick Wildcat EV concept, which primarily provides design inspiration for Buick’s future all-electric vehicles, but also lends inspiration for future internal combustion engine based vehicles as well.
In North America, Buick plans to launch its first electric vehicle in 2024 and go full EV by 2030. We expect the EV model rollout to begin with the Buick Electra E5 that was recently unveiled in China.
Production of the 2023 Buick Envision began at the GM Jinqiao plant in Beijing, China, on August 1st, 2022. The online configurator tool is now live for the 2023 Envision.

Drove the Envision for a week. The 2.0T is noisy and the 9 speed transmission is clearly present as it upshifts. Not really a pleasant experience. Interior is decent, but dash is a cheap looking hunk of foam with no stitching details. Plus, this is more a small station wagon than a compact SUV. I’d pass on this car.
