General Motors has just lifted the veil off the 2024 Corvette E-Ray hybrid, officially revealing the new C8 Corvette variant to the public. GM Authority has been closely following C8 E-Ray news, including leaked interior colorways and the foreign market availability. Now, 2024 Corvette E-Ray pricing has finally been announced alongside the official reveal.
The 2024 C8 E-Ray in the 1LZ Coupe configuration will have a starting MSRP of $104,295, which includes the $1,395 destination freight charge (DFC). Notably, the 2023 Corvette has the same DFC as the 2024 C8 E-Ray.
Trim Level | Configuration | 2024 MSRP + DFC |
---|---|---|
E-Ray 1LZ | Coupe | $104,295 |
E-Ray 1LZ | Convertible | $111,295 |
E-Ray 2LZ | Coupe | $109,795 |
E-Ray 2LZ | Convertible | $116,795 |
E-Ray 3LZ | Coupe | $115,245 |
E-Ray 3LZ | Convertible | $122,245 |
At the other end, the 2024 E-Ray 3LZ Convertible boasts a starting pricing of $122,245 before options. Interestingly, 2024 E-Ray prices are strikingly close to 2023 Corvette Z06 prices. The C8 Z06 in 1LZ Coupe configuration starts at $106,695 with DFC, while the range-topping 3LZ Convertible Z06 comes in at $127,545.
For further comparison, the 2023 Corvette Stingray in 1LT Coupe form has a starting MSRP of $65,895, while the C8 Stingray in 3LT Convertible specification comes in at $84,845.
As a reminder, the 2024 Corvette E-Ray is the first Corvette to feature powertrain electrification and an all-wheel drivetrain. The naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 engine, which produces 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, is complemented by an electric motor on the front axle. This supplemental electric motor develops an extra 160 horsepower and 125 pound-feet, bringing total output to 655 horsepower. To put the power to ground, a new variant of the Corvette C8’s dual-clutch, eight speed automatic transmission (RPO code MLH) is now offered exclusively with the E-Ray.
Under the skin, the C8 E-Ray rides on the GM Y2 platform, which it shares with all C8 variants.
The hybrid Vette will go on sale in late 2023, and will be built alongside the Stingray and Z06 models at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky. Visually, the C8 E-Ray shares the C8 Z06’s wide-body treatment, along with body-colored accents and carbon flash badging as standard affair.

No Thank You. I hope they don’t get the orders they hope they think they will get. ONLY an ICE Corvette is a CORVETTE. As soon as another form of supposed green energy comes about EV’s will be gone and then you will own that white elephant nobody wants.
It’s not about green energy in this case it’s about performance!
Imagine if GM released the Corvette Sedan the was originally planned long ago. The Corvette wasn’t always an all out sports car, it evolved into that and it’ll keep evolving.
White elephant Aren”t you the optimist
I’d be just fine owning that car! It is bad azz! At least until we all go back to actual Horse 🐎 power and stop driving these new fangled horseless carriages.
OK, nice..How about building some Z06’s ?? I am looking at a 2 year wait at MSRP. I got my 22 HTC in 95 days.
Not really the cheapest Ferrari starts about $100,000 more than the E-Ray 3LZ Convertible.
I waited 15 months for my 2020 and 18 months for my Hummer. Good things come and the early bird.
I’ve been trying to buy one since the 2020 came out to trade in my 2017 Grand sport. But the lists and markups are making thus forever GM guy look at 911 GT3 now. They’re so excited about all these first time c8 buyers but neglect to think about the real loyalty they’re losing.
They’re building NEW loyalty as the old loyalty is dying….. Also if you had gotten on a list in 2020, you’d have one by now. So you really didn’t try too hard to buy one!
“I’ve been trying to buy one since the 2020 came out.” Really? Must not have been trying to hard. If you would have put a deposit with a dealer selling at MSRP. You would be a proud owner of a new C8 by now.
I’ve been thinking that General Motors is moving to Corvette away from the middle class and now they just confirmed it to me obviously pricing the car out of reached from the masses now so production will drop off very similar to the European Exotics that usually end up going under no big surprise though enjoy your idiot Ray all you electric suckers just wait and see how much a battery cost to replace that makes them very expensive throwaway cars so much for electric good luck with it no one will want it used because of the expense
i understand your comment, but these are top end optioned cars. a 2019 zr1, is $160,000 USD, if you can find one. and in the article, a base stingray is $65,000 or so and that is an amazing deal. i have a base 2021, and it does not disappoint in any way.
As a Corvette owner/enthusiast, I just hope that GM can actually build and deliver these cars. I am currently on a 2+ year waiting list for a C8 Z06. I’m sure this E-Ray will be the same. Absolutely ridiculous.
The 2LZ prices are for sure wrong. The convertible is not cheaper than the Coupe.
Fixed. Not sure what happened there, but I provided the wrong numbers to the author. I shouldn’t write with winter gloves on.
Corvettes were never middle class. They were always at the top end of the Chevy price line and as much or more than a Cadillac. Today it is the same. The trouble middle class ain’t what it used to be.
As for waiting well that is the price of popularity. There was a time where GM did kill the Corvette prior to the C5 as it could not make a business case selling in very low numbers.
Today they have a worthy line of models so it is a case where you get in line and wait like it or not. If you don’t want to wait buy a C7 from someone waiting on a C8 and then buy a C8 once demand catches up.
Even the best Ice Cream has the longest lines.
the instant torque of AC motors is incredible, nothing can match it. to balance this and create and AWD Vette is perfection. The AWD brings on a whole new experience.
Bring this on, but make enough of them.
i own other hybrid car, parked right next to my C8 2021. my hybrid is one pf my favorite vehicles. low maintenance, high reliability. if you have not owned one , you would never know.
I have been on the list it will be a year now on /31/2023 and i just talk to the dealer and they tell me Iam # 378 I told them that i will pay cash for the vette ,Iam still have to way, they talking another year I do not know if i can wait that long ,That 2024 it look great and at the right price
i am curious, and cannot wait until the owners manual can be downloaded to see, if the new E-Ray can be driven electric only in certain situations. This would be a plus.
Also curious what the battery capacity is. And where will they put the batteries?
Or will the electric work like KERS in F1 racing.
And will having this hybrid create a new racing class?
for all you ICE till death EV haters I challenge you to explain how the Porsche Taycan is a miserable mistake, and Porsche obviously knows nothing.
The Taycan is incredible. I would drive an all electric AWD drive vette.
no gas station required, charge it at home.
I am not an EV fan and don’t consider the E-ray as such, It is an ICE vehicle with two additional electric motors that generate another 160 HP and makes the car an AWD. That all said I want to share a little info. I made a deposit and am on the list for over a year at Hendrick for a Z06 which I was told would be at MSRP. They told me it will likely be 2024 or 2025 before I get it. That said, I stopped by the dealership yesterday to put a deposit down on an E-Ray as well with the hopes of getting that sooner. They would sell it at MSRP however I have to sign a document stating I have to take their protection package which is $7,682 it includes Lojack, Nitrogen, Wheel Locks, Tinted Glass Ceramic coating, and Protective film on the front end. I told him I do not want Ceramic or film applied to the vehicle. He said you don’t have any option, it’s mandatory when purchasing a Corvette at Hendrick. I said, ok I will pay you the $7682 extra but I don’t want anything installed on the vehicle. The manager said, we have to install it, you have no other option. This also applies to the Z06 you have a deposit onas well. Needless to say, I do have another option, I left and went to another dealer, and put a deposit on the E-Ray at MSRP period, no markups or packages required. Dealerships marking vehicles up is common, however applying ceramic coatings or film should be optional, not mandatory to purchase a car!
How much is the weight gain?
+400 pounds.
With the announcement of the E-Ray, does GM plan on assembling the Stingray, Z06 & E-Ray all on 1 single production line? If so, everyone that has been biding their time on a list, just got pushed back even further. Hoping my Z06 happens before this nightmare scenario ever takes hold.
Dr Piz…….get Museum Delivery……friend that bought from Hendrick found that’s the way around it.
