The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq will offer a myriad of new features and options compared to the introductory 2023 model year, and GM Authority has learned that among those will be a newly available Nappa Leather seating package, which is genuine leather made from calfskin or other types of soft cowhide.
The Nappa Leather Package (RPO code PCH) for the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq includes the following elements:
- First and second row Nappa leather seats with Mini-Perforated inserts.
- Nappa leather armrests, soft-wrapped upper instrument panel and door trim.
- Dark Ash genuine open-pore wood trim with backlit door accents (RPO code B7G).
- Illuminated front sill plates.
GM offers a choice of two different interior colorways for the Nappa package. These consist of Oxford Stone with Garnet accents (color code H7A) and Juniper with Sky Cool Gray accents (color code H7B).
The Nappa Leather Package is priced at $3,990 and available only on the Luxury 3 (1SE Equipment Group) and Sport 3 (1SK Equipment Group) trims of the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq. It is not offered at all on the base Tech trim, or on the Luxury 1, Luxury 2, Sport 1, and Sport 2 trims.
Standard seat upholstery for all 2024 Cadillac Lyriq trim levels is Inteluxe, Cadillac’s brand name for artificial leather, or leatherette.
The base Tech trim gets Noir (color code H9F) Inteluxe seat upholstery. The seats in the Luxury and Sport trim models are wrapped in Inteluxe with Mini-Perforated inserts, and are available in either Noir with Santorini Blue accents (H7D) or Sky Cool Gray with Santorini Blue accents (H7E).
GM recently added the Tech trim as the entry-level variant for the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq. The Tech trim omits many premium interior and exterior features included on the Luxury and Sport trims, and offers the Driver Assist Package (RPO code Y66) only as an optional extra rather than a standard feature as it is on Luxury and Sport.
GM Authority has recently learned several other details about the upcoming 2024 Cadillac Lyriq, including the names of its eight exterior paint colors (color codes in parentheses):
- Argent Silver Metallic (GXD)
- Celestial Metallic (GJY)
- Crystal White Tricoat (G1W)
- Emerald Lake Metallic (G6I)
- Nimbus Metallic (G7X)
- Opulent Blue Metallic (GTR)
- Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- Stellar Black Metallic (GB8)
GM has scheduled start of regular production (SORP) for the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq on March 20th, 2023, three days after the March 17th final day of production for the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq. Production will continue to take place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
GM Authority has uncovered 2024 Cadillac Lyriq pricing, ranging from $58,590 MSRP for the base Tech trim with rear-wheel drive to $74,590 for the range-topping Sport 3 trim with all-wheel drive. Prices include a destination freight charge of $1,395.
As a reminder, the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq rides on the GM BEV3 platform, energized by GM Ultium batteries that power the vehicle’s GM Ultium Drive motors.
An unusual decision in the industry and one that I applaud. Real leather is time-tested and consumer choice is always the best path forward.
Is this like Chrysler ‘s Corinthian Leather? Hard to believe all the Tree Huggers are OK with calf leather.
A lot of electric vehicles have vegan interiors. GM should provide the choice.
I think leather interior should be standard on all Cadillacs. !!!
That’s a lot of extra money for upholstery, IMO.
