The upcoming 2024 Cadillac Lyriq all-electric luxury crossover will be offered with a choice of eight exterior paint colors, GM Authority has learned.
The eight paint colors for the new Lyriq are as follows, with color codes listed in parentheses:
- Argent Silver Metallic (GXD)
- Celestial Metallic (GJY) (late availability)
- Crystal White Tricoat (G1W)
- Emerald Lake Metallic (G6I) (late availability)
- Nimbus Metallic (G7X) (late availability)
- Opulent Blue Metallic (GTR)
- Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- Stellar Black Metallic (GB8)
Three of the paint colors carry over from the 2023 model-year Lyriq, namely Crystal White, Opulent Blue, and Stellar Black. The other five colors are new for the nameplate and are introduced with the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq.
One color previously available for the 2023 Lyriq, Satin Steel Metallic (color code G9K), has been dropped for 2024. It was the model’s introductory or launch color.
The lineup of 2024 Cadillac Lyriq paints includes one no-charge color, Argent Silver Metallic. The other seven colors are available at extra cost.
The five metallic colors – Celestial Metallic, Emerald Lake Metallic, Nimbus Metallic, Opulent Blue Metallic, and Stellar Black Metallic – are priced at $625. The other two colors – Crystal White Tricoat and Radiant Red Tintcoat – carry a price tag of $1,225.
A black-painted roof (RPO code 41T) is also available on 2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury 3 (1SE equipment group) and Sport 3 (1SK equipment group) trims. This optional black roof can be combined with all paint colors except Stellar Black Metallic and costs an extra $800.
In addition to new paint colors, the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq will add a new base Tech trim level. The Tech trim is positioned below the Luxury and Sport variants and will be available in the U.S. with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
GM Authority also uncovered 2024 Cadillac Lyriq pricing information, with MSRP for the base-level rear-wheel-drive Tech trim set at $58,590 inclusive of the destination freight charge. The MSRP rises to $74,590 for the range-topping Sport 3 variant with AWD.
As a reminder, the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq rides on the GM BEV3 platform, energized by GM Ultium batteries that power the vehicle’s GM Ultium Drive motors. Production of the crossover EV takes place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.

They really, REALLY need to stop putting the black plastic all over these cars. Especially around the wheels. It totally cheapens them and makes them look more like a Ford or Jeep.
The writer here must be talking about some other planet… I tried ordering in Nov 21 and missed the cutoff, but DID get a HARD BUILD ORDER on May 19, 2022 for an OPULENT BLUE LUXURY LYRIQ.
It will likely be a FULL YEAR after my HARD ORDER before I pick up a BLACK (at $816 extra cost) LYRIQ in MAY, after a FULL YEAR of waiting.. My dealer says no other colors are available for the 2023 Model year – even though they made possibly as many as 2 (!!!!!) Opulent Blues for the Media.
So this Horse Manure about 3 then 4 colors being available for the 2023s and more available for the 2024s is at least ONE HALF FANTASY.
Note that NONE OF THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION has ever been known by GMA, and they continually release these fairy tales EVEN when I’ve personally mentioned this several times…. If you look at the LYRIQs available for sale – that other than a few early silvers, the rest are BLACK METALIC, which explains the $816 added cost.
Too bad there are no Reporters anymore, just Stenographers who blindly write down illusions.
Bill H: I feel badly for you and the many others who have become quite frustrated over these issues.
This is just me, but I avoid stuff like this by staying away from the newest, hottest and most wanted products no matter what it is. For example, I’m now an I-phone owner but never got one for many years because of the price. I ended up with one when I switched carriers and they had a promotion to get a new I-phone (original SE) for free. So I did it and have had them ever since. Point being that I knew and still know many who just have to get the newest and latest I-phones when they come out. Often they pay a lot and have to wait any more.
Same with cars. I tend to love the under-dogs in the market and gravitate towards the cars others are not buying as much. This has served me well and saved me a lot of money. I always end up with great cars that are new and cheaper than most. Just my way, but food for thought.

Thanks for the concern. Unfortunately I like gm reliability. There just has to be some infighting internally in GM since the basic car seems good. My car will have much goobledygook that I can’t use plus a very few extras that I’ll like.
Other than paint, the extra features on the plus side might help at resale time since if anyone actually wanted all the added crap, they’ll have to pay at least $10,000 more for it on the also nonexistent 2024 model.
I too like and prefer GM. I’ve had exactly one new VW back in 2002 (worst car ever), two new Kia’s (2005 and 2016). They were ok, but certainly has nothing on GM. Lastly, I had a 2021 Volvo S60 T8. Of the import brands, the Volvo was the best but I was able to sell it for a nice profit and move on. Now back to GM. Of the 4 imports, the best deals were certainly on the Kia’s, and it showed in the dealer as well as how the car was made overall. The Volvo was a lease that was a fantastic deal at the time and it helped that I work at a Volvo store. The VW was an experience, both car and dealer, that I will never forget. It was that bad. In all the many GM’s, I’ve never had one lemon or even any major issues.
Would like to see colour chips of these late availability colours and know if they will also show up on other Cadillac models for 2024 and beyond.
All these colors already exist on other GM Models.
Just call it the Yawn Collection.
Actually disappointed they didn’t have an “electron blue”, “lithium”, or a “fully charged red”
U right an article about the color shades on a particular model and don’t show the colors, why! Poor job.
W R I T E NOT RIGHT WHAT LEVEL OF EDUCATION ARE TYPICAL Cadillac OWNERS ?
General Motors is run like the American government. It’s. hard to see how they stay in business.
To make those customers with a placed order feel better, regarding the long lead time for delivery, Gm should consider giving information as to when to expect delivery and a vin number. Dealer updates don’t happen. I placed an order, $100 deposit, in May 2022 which went into a black hole. A month later I visited the dealer only to find they could not find my order. I showed him the bank statement which showed the dealer cashed the ck. a month ago. They said they had the ability to make the correction and place my order in the second phase of ordering. The second phase of ordering is where it should have been in the first place. Great, they tried to sell it as doing me favor, only it again went into a black hole. When I contacted the dealer in Mid-Jan they didn’t know when to expect delivery.
gmfleetorderguide.com check this site out, they have the colors and lists on there. Look at 2024, click on Ordering Info, select division and model. It’s all there (for Lyriq)!
