2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 Officially Launches In Ecuador

General Motors has just officially launched the new 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 in Ecuador, three months after the South American debut of Chevrolet‘s refreshed full-size pickup in Chile.

The automaker introduced the 2023 Chevy Silverado in Ecuador as Bow Tie brand’s new flagship truck to strengthen the solid portfolio of pickups in local market, while raising its image to a new level with the most technologically advanced model of its class in that country. As such, the Silverado nameplate returns to Ecuadorian market after a notable 11-year absence.

“11 years ago, Chevrolet Silverado was very successful in the Ecuadorian market, and today it returns with great expectations for all those who seek maximum comfort combined with elegance,” said Trucks Brand Manager of Chevrolet Ecuador, Juan Fernando Muñoz. “This is one of the brand’s most powerful vehicles, with the greatest load capacity for work and adventure activities. The new Silverado stands out for its design, technology and safety, a truck with great innovations to satisfy all our customers,” he added.

In particular, the new 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 arrives in Ecuador in Crew Cab configuration only, with a single trim level called Trail Boss Z71 – better known as the LT Trail Boss. It boasts a rugged appearance and multiple off-road features, accompanied by a complete suite of technology and safety equipment, including the 13.4-inch infotainment touchscreen and the fully digital driver instrument panel.

On a mechanical level, the 2023 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss Z71 arriving in Ecuador is equipped with the well-known 5.3L V8 L84 engine that develops 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, coupled to GM’s 10-speed automatic transmission. The model comes standard with 4WD and several drive modes, providing maximum performance and capability to adventure lovers.

The 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 is now available for sale throughout brand’s official dealer network in Ecuador, where the iconic model arrives with units imported from the GM Silao plant in Mexico. The 2023 Silverado Trail Boss Z71 offers six paint colors and a seven-year/150,000-kilometer (93,206-mile) warranty (whichever comes first). Pricing starts at $86,990 USD, the official currency in Ecuador.

  1. So this sucks! GM is building for half the countries around the world, but they changed their minds about my truck. They accepted my order a month ago, and now they decided they won’t build it as requested. Bunch of BS!
