1973 Chevy C10 ‘Orange Blossom’ Rides On Roadster Shop Chassis: Video

The Chevy C10 pickup is a legendary truck, and now, the folks over at Roadster Shop are showing off this particular bespoke example in a new feature video.

The build starts with a 1973 Chevy C10 pickup, which promptly underwent a complete ground-up transformation. Now dubbed the Orange Blossom Special, the exterior is covered in Burnt Orange paint, while a set of  17-inch wheels and 305/70R17 tires roll in the corners. There’s also a variety of cool details to pick out, like a Roadster Shop billet fuel cap and custom billet badging. In fact, the whole truck incorporates dozens of custom machined billet components throughout.

Motivation is sourced for a supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, the same powerplant that motivates GM go-fast specials like the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, C7-generation Chevy Corvette Z06, and Chevy Camaro ZL1. Output is rated at 650 horsepower, all of which is routed to the wheels through the GM 8L90 eight-speed automatic transmission. Spent gasses exit via a stainless steel exhaust system and Borla muffler.

Naturally, Roadster Shop built this Chevy C10 on an RS Legend Series chassis. Highlights include a laser rail chassis design, as well as a GM factory independent front suspension with GM front differential and axle shafts. There’s also a factory hydraulic rack-and-pinion steering system. As for suspension, the truck rides on Fox 2.5 Factory series adjustable front coilovers with Roadster Shop proprietary legend valving, plus custom Deaver leaf springs paired with Fox 2.0 Performance Series shocks in back. Modern brakes haul it down.

The interior is a nice mix of classic and modern, with amenities like electric GM door latches, Legend Series Vintage Air A/C, and an upgraded, modern stereo with integrated Bluetooth and backup camera. Everything runs on a modern electrical system as well.

The video feature on this Chevy C10 is pretty simple, showing off the truck and the various components that went into it, all with some nice background music and no narration. Check it out in its entirety right here:
