We Render A More Aggressive Looking Chevy Silverado EV

The Chevy Silverado EV represents an exciting future for GM. As part of GM’s plan to field 30 EVs globally by 2025, the Silverado EV, alongside its GMC Sierra EV, GMC Hummer EV Pickup and GMC Hummer EV SUV corporate cousins, are poised to make waves in the electric vehicle market. Unfortunately, it’s the opinion of the folks here at GM Authority that the front end of the Silverado EV is a little bland, especially when compared to the upcoming Sierra EV. So today, we’ve rendered a more aggressive front fascia.
In our rendering of a more aggressive front-end styling for the Silverado EV, we revised the daytime running lights and headlamp clusters. Additionally, we gave the all-electric pickup truck a detailed faux-grille up top, and a sportier lower section with tow hooks and fog lamps , while getting rid of the satin bumper trim. To wrap up the package, we dressed the Silverado EV in Black for a more sinister look.
In a previous poll, GM Authority readers agreed with our assessment of the Silverado EV. In fact, 57 percent of readers prefer the Sierra EV’s looks over that of the Chevy EV truck.
As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV is offered exclusively in a Crew Cab body style with a 5-foot, 11-inch bed. The electric truck is based on the GM BT1 platform, which it shares with the GMC Sierra EV and the GMC Hummer EV Pickup and SUV. Power is provided by GM’s Ultium battery technology and Ultium Drive motor technology, which provide a maximum of 754 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque.
Production will kick off next year at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.

Can someone render a regular cab long bed version of the Silverado EV?
It is not that agressive looking. If you are talking mass customization for all, then it might work. When it comes to anything EV, the designers should remember for vehicle to be agresive it must look the part and show off a bad ars attitude.. And ICe sounds is a major part of that personality. If a vehicle ihgas power that is whining it is not agressive at all. Aggressive astheitc come is many forms according to each persons individual profile, but the basics are…lowered, custom painted, tint, debaging and unique wheels. As a designer andcoming from a family that has been in the custom vehicle game since 1876, I’ve learne that to sell a cool ride there are many other aspects that would change the look. People who are true individualists tell me, by way of psychological evaluation, what they want in a personlaized vehicle. Once the custom aftermarket gets hold of it then it will be aggressive on a much more personal level.
The wheels are disgusting.
A grill look is needed to make them look aggressive and bold
The GM authority version is a significant improvement. The two biggest issues I have with GM’s current Silverado EV look is the goofy white light running below the front hood line all the way across the width of the truck, and the goofy c-pillar which looks like they copied the style from Honda’s Ridgeline. I’m a long-time GM truck guy and will not buy any truck that looks as weak as the current 2023 Silverado EV. BTW – I really like my Chevy Trailboss – GM got this truck right!
Wow Ken, regardless whether the C pillar looks goofy or not. The Ridgeline copied the Avalanche.
Wrong = 🗑️
Frankly they all look stupid except for the Ford F150 Lightning. Why do the mfgs think the EV cars and trucks have to look like they came from a Buck Rogers movie? For the younger generations that don’t know who Buck Rogers is Google him!
Ok, but can you put a supercharged V8 in it?
They have to get rid of the avalanche look on the box. I hate it. Despise It and can’t believe they are going with it , Disgusting looking and a deal breaker for me. Make it look like a truck. Did Elon have a part in designing it. Because that kind of ugly can only come from him since his cars are as ugly as a bucket of mud. I wouldn’t be caught dead in one of Musks cars.
I don’t want to terrorize pedestrians and occupants of other vehicles. Nice, subtle, less aggressive is the way to go. The ICE versions of pickups have gotten ridiculous – reminds me of those VW bug accessories that replaced the hood with one that looked like a Rolls Royce or Mack truck radiator grill.
GM Authority ought have another option to this poll–affordability. Every change they suggest, badge, grill, tow hooks, fog lights all cost money. I’m looking for inexpensive leaving the entry level Silverado, as is. Ford has raised their Lightning prices twice, amounting to $10K to unaffordable levels for many of us.
I live in the Sierra above 3000′. I need a truck with sufficient road clearance w/ AWD as a must. Sedans don’t work for me in the snow. So far, GM has not raised the pricing on the Silverado.
A lot of empty words there
The Authority is doing all the things.
I see them paying attention to all items and also being able to do these renderings that get the imagination going. So really you have nothing to say or add.
No this is just very poor journalism.
Either one would work. But if I had to choose only one, I’d go with the original design. Faux grilles are unnecessary and cluttersome.
