Refreshed 2023 Chevy Blazer Launches In Colombia

General Motors has just officially launched the refreshed 2023 Chevy Blazer in Colombia, several months after the updated version of the midsize crossover arrived in the three North American countries.

The new 2023 Chevy Blazer arrives as the Bow Tie brand’s latest new or refreshed product this year in Colombia, completing the local revamp of Chevrolet‘s crossover portfolio begun in February that included the 2022 Traverse, the 2022 Equinox and the recently launched 2023 Bolt EUV. With its design and equipment improvements, the 2023 Blazer will reinforce its position as the best-selling D-segment utility in the Colombian market.

“What makes the Chevrolet Blazer so attractive is its robust design with a totally sporty appearance and the highest level of comfort, technology and safety features,” said Chevrolet Brand Manager at GM Colombia, Álvaro Zagal. “The Blazer is very conveniently priced, placing it among the high-end SUV-Ds preferred by a public that seeks a technologically well-equipped vehicle and a luxurious sensory experience,” he added.

Notably, the refreshed 2023 Chevy Blazer is offered in the South American country in the sporty RS trim level only. As such, the refreshed Blazer will continue its distinctive positioning in Colombia where it is popularly known as “the Camaro made SUV” by adopting a revised front fascia, more technological equipment and interior design enhancements.

In keeping with the existing strategy of offering the Blazer only in high-end configuration, the 2023 Chevy Blazer RS for Colombia continues to be powered by the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX engine that develops 308 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, mated to GM’s nine-speed automatic transmission and standard five-mode AWD.

The 2023 Chevy Blazer RS gets an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen in Colombia instead of the 10.2-inch screen in the U.S. model.

The refreshed 2023 Chevy Blazer RS is now available for sale across the entire Chevrolet dealer network in Colombia, where it comes standard with a slightly more modest list of safety and technology features than in the three North American markets. The base price of the 2023 Blazer RS in the Colombian market is 204,990,000 pesos, about $42,960 USD at the current exchange rate.

  1. Too bad the refresh wasn’t an improvement. The previous version was much better looking.

    1. Richard, you’re absolutely right. The current designers at GM think if you haphazardly throw plastic vents and a 2 inch bigger info screen it makes costumers happy. The Blazer could have been so much better in so many ways but as long as Mary Barra is in charge that will never happen.
