The 2023Â Chevy Trailblazer marks the third model year of the current-generation subcompact crossover. Today, GM Authority is taking a closer look at the 2023 Chevy Trailblazer towing capacities with the following spec breakdown.
Before we dive in, here’s a look at the powertrain specifications. Engine options include the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, which produces 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, and the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T gasoline engine, which produces 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque.
In regards to drivetrain options, the 1.2L LIH connects to GM’s continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), while the 1.3L L3T connects to either the CVT with the standard front-wheel drivetrain, or the GM nine-speed automatic transmission with the available all-wheel drivetrain.
Notably, when equipped with the 1.3L L3T engine, the Trailblazer includes the Trailering Provisions package. Tagged with RPO code V92, the package adds a four-wire harness and a four-pin sealed connector, although owners still need to opt for an accessory trailer hitch.
With all that covered, here’s the full list of 2023 Chevy Trailblazer towing capacities:

My 2013 Chevy Sonic is rated to tow 2,000 lbs… Why is a car that’s supposed be it’s replacement so much worse in nearly every measurable way? Continues disappoinment with gm’s effort in this segment.
