The refreshed 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 featured front end design changes and a new cabin offered on all but the Pro model. Note, that for 2022, the former “Sierra” base model is now the Pro model. Besides the all-new interior, perhaps the biggest news for 2022 was the announcement of the new range-topping 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate and introduction of the all-new 2022 GMC Sierra AT4X. As a reminder, the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited was a stop-gap measure till the refreshed model could be built, and even introduced a few changes of its own over the 2021 models.
In addition, a mandatory three-year OnStar and Connected Services plan has been added to all Sierra trim levels, its price ranging from $905 to $1,500.
The 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 introduces only a handful of changes and updates as compared to the full model refresh introduced for the 2022 model year. One of those includes availability of a new Graphite Edition package on the base Sierra Pro. The big news for 2023 is the debut of the first-ever 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X AEV Edition, which promises to push the capability of the new go-anywhere AT4X trim level to new heights. Simply put, the 2023 Sierra 1500 AT4X AEV Edition is the most off-road capable factory Sierra 1500 ever, developed with input from American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) like on the Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison and first-ever 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2 Bison.
Later on in the 2023 model year, the “standard” 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X will receive new equipment from the AEV Edition. GMC just announced this month that the 2023 Sierra AT4X upgrade will result in a $3,395 increase. Also for 2023, the price increased by $1,000 over the 2022 on every trim level except for the Denali Ultimate and AT4, which have received respective price increases of $900 and $1,900. The 2023 Sierra 1500 received another price increase in November, including $3,395 on the AT4X, as noted above, and between $300 and $1,495 depending on other trim levels. This price hike includes a $100 bump in the destination freight charge, which is included and now $1,895.
Production of the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 kicked off at the GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana on August 20th, 2022, and at the GM Silao plant in Mexico on August 29th, 2022, for both Regular Cab and Crew Cab models, and on September 6th, 2022, for Double Cab models. The online configurator tool is now live for the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 and for the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X trim and AT4X AEV Edition.

Hopefully all the features work and the incentives are not just another ploy to market incomplete option packages with a broken promise of future retrofit like the 2022 AT4 I am still waiting to get updated.
Told by the sales guy that it would be completed by end Q2 still no update or no action.
Buyer Beware ! If you want a completely function vehicle you may want to shop elsewhere than Chev/GMC just saying ! 😼

Cash back offer only with the 2.7L I4 turbo L3B engine that no one wants in a Silverado. A perfect engine for the refresh Colorado/Canyon.
Yet it is selling well and fantastic base engine. Not everyone buys loaded big engine trucks, in most cases the mid level and bottom level are the highest selling trims. Just because you have some inferiority complex with your image purchase doesn’t mean others do and they buy what they need, and many need and like/use this engine.
Not sure it is inferiority complex to buy a Big Engine truck that is advertised as best in class to tow a heavy RV. Not sure too many of us who are shopping these trucks are looking for base model work trucks with no radio or other options just so it can be driven off the lot with all of none existent features working. Not everyone seeking a truck is suffering the same financial constraints that obviously play a huge part in your purchase plan.
