GMC Hummer EV Pickup Gets Kevlar Treatment

The GMC Hummer EV isn’t exactly subtle, but now, one custom shop is upgrading the all-electric off-roader with a variety of bespoke touches that make this beast even more outrageous.
Dubbed the Strikeforce, this particular GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 was upgraded by Soflo Customs out of South Florida, and now runs a matte green finish that isn’t paint or a wrap – it’s kevlar, incorporating an epoxy coat and kevlar fibers for a tough, textured finish. Kevlar is the same material used in producing bulletproof vests, which means this upgraded Hummer electric off-roader should have the right stuff to easily ward off errant bits of terra while out on the trail, including rocks, branches, and the like.
Notably, this particular hue is reminiscent of Moonshot Green Matte (color code G7W), which is reserved exclusively for the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV Edition 1, per exclusive GM Authority coverage posted earlier this month.
This upgraded GMC Hummer EV is also riding in a set of aftermarket wheels finished in bronze, a color combo that definitely sets it off. Sized at 20 inches in diameter, the wheels actually look kind of small on the behemoth GMC Hummer EV, especially wrapped in those chunky 38-inch tires. Interestingly, the shop gave this Hummer electric vehicle a suspension lift as well.
Moving inside, we find a water-resistant interior treatment for the seats, dash, center console, and doors. Despite the practical nature of the material used, the cabin still looks high-end thanks to pleated upholstery treatment and a rich tan color.
Now, this custom 2022 GMC Hummer EV Edition is listed for sale at $219,000. The rig has just 519 miles on the clock.
As a reminder, the GMC Hummer EV Pickup Edition 1 features a trio of GM Ultium Drive motors and a 212-kWh GM Ultium battery pack, the combination of which yields 1,000 horsepower. The sprint to 60 mph takes just 3 second with the onboard Watts To Freedom mode active. Under the body panels, the GMC Hummer EV rides on the GM BT1 platform, while production taking place at the GM Factory Zero plant, previously known as GM Detroit-Hamtramck.

The interior is ok but the exterior is Fugly!
I’ll Bet they need it in New York. With no electric power it can sit on a snow drift till spring comes and they can push it in the ocean.
What’s that phrase…? Oh.. “to each his own.”
Just another CA toy
Most people quit playing with electric cars before they become adults. Guess some people never really grow up huh, well come to think of it there are alot of grown-up children these days.
Don’t get it wet!
