The GM Authority Take
GM Mexico sales recorded its best performance in recent history in November, as the automaker experienced another massive, near-triple-digit increase, positioning it as the best-selling automaker in the Latin American country. In fact, the 14,496 deliveries in November exceeded the previous record of 14,189 units posted in September. The November results also represent eight consecutive months of gains for GM in the Mexican market.
GM Mexico’s large sales increase in November was supported by widespread increases in most of the models offered by the company in the country.
The gains were led by the massive four-digit increase experienced by the Chevy Onix, which once again was the company’s best-selling nameplate. Also worth highlighting is the healthy rise in Chevy Captiva sales, cementing it as the most popular crossover in the country for the month. We must also note the outstanding volume recovery experienced by the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra full-size pickups.
By contrast, the popular Chevy Aveo continued to lose volume as it neared the end of its business cycle. The vehicle will be replaced by the recently-confirmed Chevy small car for the Mexican market. Still, the Aveo managed to increase its registrations over prior months, while remaining GM’s best-selling model in Mexico during the first 11 months of the year with 30,385 deliveries.

Comment
I always enjoy the info included in the sales charts that you provide. Though many times it is obvious that a model has been discontinued, other times it is not. In the future could you somehow designate models that have been discontinued? Maybe an asterisk after the name, or show that model in red font?
Thanks for providing great gm news.
