Marketed as America’s sports car, it really comes as no surprise that the Chevy C8 Corvette is lauded by the automotive press for its performance capabilities and ease of living. Currently in its third model year, the 2023 Vette has now been named to Car and Driver’s 2023 10Best list.
The 2023 rendition of the 10Best awards marks the sixth year in a row the Corvette has been has been named to this prestigious list. In fact, since the C7 launched as a 2014 model, the Vette has made the list every model year except 2016. For 2023, Car and Driver praised the C8 lineup for offering something for every type of driver. From a comfortable grand tourer, to a daily grocery-getter, to a fire-breathing track monster, the C8 can fill almost every role a sports car driver could ask for.
It’s worth noting that the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing were also named to the 2023 10Best list.
To name vehicles to this list, Car and Driver separated cars from trucks and SUVs, and will award the latter next month. Additionally, every vehicle on the list has to go on sale by January 31st and be cheaper than $110,000. After driving every vehicle that fits these criteria, each car is ranked on a scale of zero to 100, with the 10-highest averages named to the 10Best list.
As a reminder, the 2023 Chevy C8 Corvette is offered in two distinctive trims, the Stingray and the Z06. The Stingray is equipped with the 6.2L LT2 V8 as standard, rated at 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, while the Z06 features the high-revving 5.5L LT6 V8, which produces 670 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.
All C8 Corvette variants ride on the GM Y2 platform, while production takes place at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.

I am trying to track my 2023 Corvette that has a order number of BSHBD6 but have been unable to locate a source other than call my dealer which I do not want to do. They have been great so I do not want to pester them. The build week is 12/19.

i called the concierge twice a week amd they knew way more than the dealer.
Call 866 424 3892 which is a GM status number and giving them your car code they can tell you the status.
You can also track your status on midenginecorvetteforum.com under “The C8 Order Status Inquiry Thread” and user “Corvette Ed” will get you your build status and vin # if available. He is very responsive, and I contact him weekly for updates.
