The GM Authority Take

Chevrolet Colombia sales recorded a notable double-digit increase in October, when the Bowtie brand once again stood out by achieving one of the best results and highest growth rates in the Colombian auto market. In fact, the positive behavior experienced by Chevrolet during the month represented its seventh consecutive monthly increase in the South American country.

Although several Chevy models achieved large gains of up to three and four digits during October, the most significant gain was made by the best-selling Chevy Onix, which accounted for more than half of Chevy’s total sales volume in Colombia. The Onix obtained a significant increase in volume of 723 units year-over-year, solidifying it as the brand’s best-selling model in the Colombian market.

It’s also worth highlighting the excellent performance of the Chevy Colorado, which managed to position itself as the brand’s third best-selling nameplate during October.

In contrast, the Chevy Tracker lost some of its positive momentum in October, suffering a notable double-digit drop. This scenario also applies to the Chevy Captiva and most of Chevy’s utility vehicles, likely as result of lower availability of units of in the local Colombian market.
