The GM Authority Take

Chevrolet Argentina sales continued to grow in November thanks to a very healthy double-digit increase in November. The performance means that the Bow Tie brand once again exceeded the 19 percent growth rate of the Argentine automotive market. Chevrolet’s positive result last month in Argentina represents its seventh consecutive monthly increase in that country.

In November, five Chevrolet vehicles were in the green on a year-over-year basis in Argentina, led by the locally-manufactured Chevy Cruze. The compact car not only remained the brand’s best-selling model in the country, but also recorded a four-digit sales figure, further consolidating its local leadership position. For their part, the Chevy Onix and Tracker rounded out the podium with healthy gains over the preceding month.

Although the refreshed Chevy Equinox, which recently launched in Argentina, had the highest growth rate on a percentage basis, the compact crossover was also the second least-sold Chevrolet model, with just 23 units sold during the month. In addition, the Chevy TrailBlazer SUV was the only Chevy model currently in production to have suffered a drop in sales volume during the month.
