The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV represents an exciting time for GM, as the Detroit-based automaker gears up to launch 30 EVs by 2025. Officially unveiled back in September 2022, the Blazer set to go on sale in the summer of 2023. We’ve been on the lookout for the electric Blazer in the wild, and today have photos of a showroom-ready Chevy Blazer EV RS in the following GM Authority Live Photo Gallery.
This particular unit is dressed up in a sinister black paint job and furnished in the sporty RS trim level. This means the all-electric crossover receives a black grille, among other black accents, and a dual-element LED exterior lighting signature up front. In its announcement, Chevy notes that the front end of the Blazer EV RS features a full light bar and illuminated bowtie emblem on the front. Interestingly though, the front facia features a Gold Chevy bowtie front-and-center, and we don’t see a light bar, potentially suggesting that these will not be standard features on the RS trim, but rather offered as an option.
Speaking of logos, out back we see a blacked-out BLAZER nameplate badge with a blue “E.” The same “blue E” treatment has been seen on the Silverado EV and Equinox EV badges, further emphasizing the electric powertrain. Additionally, there are AWD and RS badges positioned on the passenger-side of the rear liftgate. Conversely to the front fascia, the Chevy bowtie back here is finished in black.
Other details include the standard 21-inch wheels, body-colored door handles and side mirrors, and the prominent front-fender “extractor vents.”
As a reminder, the upcoming 2024 Chevy Blazer EV RS rocks the GM Ultium battery and GM Ultium drive motor technology, which provides a GM-estimated range of up to 320 miles. All trim levels are equipped with on-board AC charging capabilities up to 11.5 kW and high-speed DC charging up to 190 kW.
Front-, rear-, and all-wheel drive configurations are available across the board. The range-topping SS trim level features an exclusive performance AWD configuration that is capable of producing up to 557 horsepower and 648 pound-feet of torque, enabling the all-electric crossover to rocket to 60 mph in less than four seconds, for a driving range of 290 miles. While Chevy has announced that the Blazer RS will have a driving range of 320 miles, it has not yet provided horsepower or torque ratings.
As for structure, the 2024 Blazer EV rides on the GM BEV3 platform, while production will take place at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.

Reminds me a bit of our 90’s era all black Chevy Cavalier station wagon with the 3.1L V6. (Not so much the design as obviously different between the more boxy 90’s look, but in concept).
We called it the stealth wagon. That thing could haul people and haul @ss.
I like the RS over the SS and LT models. To my eyes it’s just right.
I am hoping to order my reservation by early summer 2023… fingers crossed
I hope G M is not going to disappoint me like once before in 2021…🤞
That might be the best Chevy designed High Volume vehicle that GM has done in quite some time.
Blazer EV looks great.
Looks a whole lot better without the fish-gills accentuated by lighter colors. Will be interesting to see it in person. I’m really not a fan of all the dents they put in the fenders then called it “styling” and wish their gotta-make-an-EV-drastically-unique mentality would stop. At least they’ve still got attractive interior design (without the red accents) and didn’t try to make it look like a Prius inside. I’ve got an RS reserved and have been anxiously awaiting more images and details – sad that GM isn’t providing their customers with more info and leaving it to the media to try and build customer relationships.
I saw it at an Auto show and it looks really nice. I might say best overall design of any CUV that GM has done thus far.
The Nox is nice too but in a very tame design though. They want as many people to like the Nox as possible.
Yep they want the Nox as mass market as possible for greater reach, even so they did design it tastefully with its own attractive styling.
That doesn’t have a full light bar and light up bow tie on front like RS trim has. Look at RS trim from the reveal in July.
Front lights and fender are LT and rear looks RS?
That 3 on the back…..,must be a Dale Earnhardt Special Edition….
This pretty cool in black . It looks very long and sleek
Can you spell “station wagon?” Little by little, SUV’s are morphing back into the shape from whence they came.
Absolutely ugly!
I was very interested in this vehicle when I first heard about it now after seeing it going to have to see one in person now ,not so sure.
They can design all the pretty cars they want, but if you don’t put inventory on the floor and keep the prices reasonable nobody will buy them
One of the best designs GM has had for while. Have a RS reserved. Can’t wait until next summer.
