Last month, GM Authority reported that some units of the 2023 Chevy Tahoe and 2023 Chevy Suburban would be built without their wireless phone charging feature. Now, the option is available once again.
GM Authority has exclusively learned that the wireless phone charging feature (RPO Code K4C), which was originally constrained from late October to late November, is once again available to order on 2023 Tahoe and Suburban models as of November 21st 2022 production.
Affected vehicles can be identified with the RPO Code 00C on the window sticker. There is no retrofit for these units available or planned at this time.
It’s worth noting that wireless cellphone charging is normally standard affair on LT, RST, Z71, Premier and High Country trim levels, while not offered at all on the LS trim.
For reference, GM has been struggling Chevy Tahoe and Suburban parts constraints for some time now. Select examples of the 2023 Tahoe and Suburban were built without ventilated seat blower motors from July to September, while the Enhanced Trailer View package is currently unavailable to order, and Super Cruise was also under constraint for a while.
As a reminder, the 2023 Chevy Tahoe and 2023 Chevy Suburban are available with three engine options. These include the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, which produces 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, which develops 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and finally the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine, which churns out 277 horsepower at and 460 pound-feet of torque.
As for structure, both the 2023 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban ride on the GM T1 platform, which underpins all GM full-size SUVs. Meanwhile, production takes place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

This is an improvement.
A couple weeks ago we would have had two seperate front page articles, one for the Tahoe and one for the Suburban.
So GM just did people dirty for a month and didn’t offer a retrofit? wow
