The 2022 GMC Canyon is the eighth and final model year for the nameplate’s second generation, introducing only a handful of updates over the lightly updated 2021 model year. Notably, GM applied yet another price increase to the 2022 GMC Canyon last month as production winds down in anticipation of the launch of the all-new, third-generation 2023 model year.
Following the latest price increase applied in November of 2022, the 2022 GMC Canyon is now $400 more expensive across the trim level lineup. As such, the least-expensive 2022 GMC Canyon on offer, specifically the Elevation Standard trim in the Extended Cab body configuration with 2WD, is now priced at $30,480, while the most-expensive 2022 GMC Canyon on offer, specifically the Denali trim in the Crew Cab / Long Box body configuration with 4WD and the 2.8 I4 LWN turbodiesel Duramax engine, is now priced at $52,645.

The 2022 GMC Canyon price increase applied in November is only the latest of several price increases made over the course of the 2022 calendar year. Per previous GM Authority coverage, GM also applied a $300 price increase in June, while a second $300 price increase was made in August as well.
As a reminder, the 2022 GMC Canyon is now offered with just two engine options following the discontinuation of the naturally aspirated 2.5L I4 LCV gasoline engine earlier this year. The two remaining powerplants include the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGZ gasoline engine, which is rated at 308 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque, and the 2.8L I4 LWN turbodiesel Duramax engine, which is rated at 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. Under the skin, the 2022 GMC Canyon rides on the GMT 31XX platform, while production takes place at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

Raise MSRP then raise incentives makes no sense to me. The consumer will be at the same price as of today and never wins.
Sure, raise the price, why not ? Its the only one any body can afford anyway ! That’s the O’Biden way . the best thing about the canyon is its not turbo ! Choices are so slim its a wonder any body buys GM anymore . keep up the good work yahoos. Chevrolet lost its way a long time ago ! Their just waiting for us babyboomers to die ! ! !
Chevrolet did NOT lose their way, at all. And it is not GM’s fault for the price increase, it is due to inflation, and biden. You can agree with me or be wrong, soooooo
Learn to disagree without being disagreeable, at the least agree to disagree. And what the – does soooo mean ? Chevrolet WAS a religion in my life time there’s nothing more American than chevy, however it has lost its way ! ! ! Just like man\kind and common\sense have become oxymorons in this country .
The word sooooo means you should know the common logic. Chevrolet has NOT lost ANYTHING! Chevrolet is the ultimate American dream, and even a “religion” as you stated. Why would I disagree being disagreeable? You make absolute no sense. I am stating pure facts, and if you can’t see these facts to which I am stating, that’s your problem, sooooooooo, and sooo means this is common logic, again.
Brilliant…
That’ what I thought, sooooooooooooo
