The GMC Hummer EV is positioned as the go-anywhere, do-anything all-electric supertruck. However, what if customers are looking for something just a little more extreme or outrageous? Well, just for fun, GM Authority has just rendered a 6×6 GMC Hummer EV SUV.
The first feature of this Hummer EV that stands out is the sheer length, enabling the SUV to rock an extra set of wheels. Having six driven wheels may not necessarily allow the GMC Hummer EV SUV to crawl out of all but the worst terrain, but it would definitely look mean on the beaten path. Additionally, the extra cabin space could be used for more cargo volume, and an extra row of seats. Or just for the coolness factor.
It’s important to note that GM has no intention of producing a Hummer EV such as this.
The inspiration for this render comes from the creations of some aftermarket specialty builders, such as the Hennessey Silverado Goliath 6×6. That behemoth features an eight-inch suspension lift, 20-inch Hennessey wheels wrapped in 37-inch BFGoodrich off-road tires, new front and rear bumpers, a bed-mounted utility bar, LED auxiliary lights and more. Maximum output is rated at 705 horsepower and 675 pound-feet of torque.
As a reminder, 2022 GMC Hummer EV Pickup production began late last year at the GM Factory Zero plant (formerly the GM Detroit-Hamtramck plant) in Michigan. Output is sourced from GM Ultium batteries and GM Ultium Drive motors, with the Hummer EV Pickup Edition 1 model producing 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 pound-feet of wheel torque.
Under the skin, the GMC Hummer EV Pickup and the GMC Hummer EV SUV both ride on GM’s dedicated “body-on-battery” or “Ulti-body” electric BT1 platform. The same architecture also underpins the upcoming Chevy Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV.

So as the saying goes STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES… Give us a break on GM crap out. 😴🤑💰
People with too much money would buy this
The pickup looks good because it uses one big wheel arch for both wheels. Using two separate wheel arches for the Hummer’s rear tires is a little jarring.
Hey GMA you forgot to mention the added feature will help carry the weight of the battery.
All ‘yall ‘Long Haul’ rich guys could add extra battery storage in the ‘long’ short bed and have at it!!
And maybe even get a hummer from the hummer-inclined honeys!
The Hummer SUT looks nice, but who will pay an extra 10 to 20k for a Dual Axle Vehicle and of course, let’s not forget the added weight on top of the over 9,000 lbs for this SUV.
