Production of the all-new 2024 Chevy Silverado EV is set to kick off next year, offering truck customers a fresh all-electric take on the popular pickup nameplate. Now, GM Authority is bringing you yet more exclusive coverage on the Chevy Silverado EV, this time with a comprehensive list of features for the Chevy Silverado EV 3WT and 4WT trim levels.

As we can see, these two trim levels offer nearly identical content. The big difference, however, is the battery, with a different RPO code for the battery powering the 3WT and 4WT. Per previous GM Authority coverage, there’s also a $5,000 pricing difference between these two models, which would seem to suggest that the 3WT trim level is equipped with a smaller battery pack than the 4WT trim level.
As GM Authority exclusively covered earlier this week, the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV 3WT starts at $74,800, while the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV 4WT starts at $79,800. Both models include a destination freight charge of $1,895.
Also notable is the range of high-end features equipped by both trucks, including an 8.0-inch digital Driver Information Center, 11-inch touchscreen with Google built-in, Surround Vision Recorder, and a full suit of advanced safety features, not to mention the two-motor powertrain and e4WD.
Clearly, these trucks aren’t the base equipment groups for the Silverado EV, a fact that’s also underscored by the price tags. Additional WT trims will be introduced at a later date, and expected to carry a lower base price.
As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV rides on the GM BT1 platform, while production will kick off next year at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.

I keep checking the date but don’t see April 1st. Calendar app must be broken.
73k work truck. Keep it. They’re going to crash their own maker with greed.
How to fix it
Why pay $75-80k for a stripped down EV work truck, when you can buy a new ICE WT for ~$45k or a slightly used one (1-2 years old) for ~$37.5k? These trucks get used and abused in short order.
Well, like they say, if you can’t afford the $5 per gallon gasoline, just go out and buy an EV…they’re very affordable. 😀
Cuckoo!
Infamous, please read the article. It is not about a striped down WT, but a 3&4WT. The basic WT will start at $40k. I’m tired of so many criticisms on this forum of GM with mis-information.
I did read the article. It is still a work truck with vinyl seats (manual adjusting), vinyl floors, 6 speaker stereo, cheap wheels that are typically used on a spare tire, etc., etc., etc.. For the same price as this, you can buy an absolutely loaded ICE High Country.
Again, it is a work truck that gets beaten into the ground doing construction work. You can get a current ICE work truck for half the price. If you’re happy with paying more and getting less, that is certainly your right as a consumer. I do not handle my finances in this manner.
The car starts at 75k not 40k do your homework
I can’t wait for the first LS swap.
No EV for me but how about offering the upscale packages in the ICE WT? I would love to have an upscale 2-door truck with the 3.0 diesel! I would buy that tomorrow!
I can buy a lot of liquid fuel and convenience for the price difference between the EV and the ICE trucks.
Haters are going to make their usual comments, but I am interested in seeing options and prices for the non-WT versions also, but the added WT info starts to fill in the gaps from the $40 entry level WT to the tricked out $105k RST.
Surprised to see only a $5k delta for a larger battery, that’s encouraging. If I had to guess, another $5k to $10k over these WT’s should get you a nice entry level RST style truck with leather and nice wheels.
The only thing I am hating is the price.
I am interested in EV’s, as I rode in my friend’s Tesla and was quite impressed. It had some solid snap to it and two of my cars are a highly modded Camaro SS and a bolt-on C7 GS. I am no stranger to performance. EV’s have instantaneous torque.
Technology experts have already stated that Lithium-Ion batteries have come a long way, but they are still extremely expensive and will continue to be so for another ~10 years. I will wait until the prices are equal to that of an ICE.
I’m a realist not a hater. And I don’t like being pushed around by the government or big corps.
How much will that WT be worth in 7-10 years with a weak or dead battery? Way too early to even think about an EV. I’ll drive the 3.0 Duramax- if it ever gets here.
What is the bed length on this truck? My 2007 Silverado WT has an 8ft. bed.
So does my 2012 and still running like new!
