General Motors Launches New Consolidated GM Genuine Parts And ACDelco Website

GM has just launched a new website, a merging GM Genuine Parts and ACDelco parts into a single location. This consolidation will serve as a one-stop-shop for OEM parts and the only GM-approved aftermarket parts supplier.

The new website has a fresh and simplified look and feel, highlighting GM Genuine Parts and ACDelco parts. The pages have been restructured and updated to provide continuity with other GM websites. For trade professionals specifically, this new site serves as a unified source of information about the latest programs and offers, in addition to providing technical resources like catalogs and diagnostics support links.

The overall objective for the integrating of these two brands was to offer a more convenient and cohesive interface for a better user experience. The two older, separate websites, gmgenuineparts.com and acdelco.com, will now redirect the user to gmparts.com.

To clarify, there are three tiers of parts for GM vehicles. The first one is GM Original Equipment. This is made up of GM Genuine Parts and ACDelco Original Equipment, and are OEM parts installed during the validation or production of GM vehicles. These components, which include maintenance, repair, powertrain and collision, are tested against rigorous standards and are backed by The General. These parts are guaranteed to work with the vehicle.

The other second tier falls under the ACDelco Gold umbrella. These parts are high-quality alternatives to the OE parts. They are manufactured to meet standards of GM vehicles, like the fit and function. These high-quality parts are also backed by The General.

The third and final tier is ACDelco Silver. These parts combine high quality with affordability, providing customers a cheaper alternative to fixing their vehicle. Just like the other two tiers, these parts are backed by GM.

  3. This is great! I recently replaced the battery, thermostat, and coolant temp sender in my 2012 Silverado with all OEM AC Delco parts. A one stop shop is a great idea.

  4. When they say Made In USA on them, I might consider buying them. When I see Made In China, I shop elsewhere.
