The C8 Corvette Stingray needs no introduction to owners or car enthusiasts the world over. Though the C8 is highly capable from the factory, many choose to modify their cars to further enhance the driving experience of the base model of the mid-engine Corvette. Many aftermarket companies offer a bevy of aftermarket parts that look to upgrade the vehicle’s performance. Today, we’re taking a look at an air intake system from Corsa Performance.
For C8 Corvette Stingray owners who want their car to inhale a little better, Corsa Performance offers a carbon fiber air intake, which delivers a Corsa-claimed increase of 14 horsepower and 13 pound-feet of torque, with no tuning required. Included are two DryTech air filters, which provide a 50,000-mile maintenance interval. This intake comes with a limited lifetime warranty, and costs $1,434.99. Interested buyers can find it here.
It’s worth noting that this carbon fiber intake is only compatible with the following models of the C8 Stingray with the 6.2L V8 LT2 engine, in either Coupe or Convertible form:
- 2020 Corvette Stingray
- 2021 Corvette Stingray
- 2022 Corvette Stingray
- 2023 Corvette Stingray
In other words, this intake system is not compatible with any C8 Z06 model.
For Corvette owners who want to their cars to exhale a little better as well, Corsa Performance also offers a set of headers. Bolting right up to the block and the stock catalytic converters, these headers are made of 304 stainless steel and, when installed in conjunction with Corsa’s cat-back exhaust, provide a Corsa-claimed increase of 18 horsepower. The headers retail for $1,579.99.
As a reminder, the 2020-2023 Chevy C8 Corvette Stingray is powered by the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine, which is rated at 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque with the stock exhaust, or 495 horsepower or 470 pound-feet of torque with the optional dual-mode performance exhaust system (NPP).
Under the skin, the Vette rides on the GM Y2 platform, while production takes place exclusively at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.

I seriously doubt that GM left 14 hp on the table. I’ve seen just too many of these claims never even come close to claimed amount on an actual professional dyno.
Even if it is true, that’s $100 per HP. Not worth it if you ask me.
What is the cost to install these parts !
