New for the 2022 model year is the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing model, introduced as the ultimate high-performance version of the Cadillac CT5-V model.
The 2023 Cadillac CT5 arrives with just a handful of changes and updates over the 2022 model, including adding the Driver Assist Package as standard and the addition of the GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assist system to the options list. The 2023 CT5 also gets a Bronze Accent Package on the CT5 as well as on the CT5-V, but loses the Diamond Sky Special Edition Package.
Notable changes for the 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing include receiving a whopping $7,000 price increase , addition of a new standard vehicle wrap as an alternative to the available enclosed shipping carrier option, and launch of the new 120th Anniversary Edition.
The Cadillac CT5 is offered with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine along with the twin-turbo 3.0L V6 LGY, each mated to the GM 10-speed automatic transmission in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing runs the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4. The GM six-speed manual transmission is standard, while the 10-speed auto is optional – both exclusively feeding the rear wheels.
Looking ahead, the 2024 Cadillac CT5 will debut a mid-cycle refresh. We recently spied a refreshed 2024 Cadillac CT5 prototype testing on public roads.
Production of the 2023 Cadillac CT5 began at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan on July 18th, 2022. The online configurator tool is now live for the 2023 CT5 and for the CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing.
