2024 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Denali Ultimate: Live Photo Gallery

The 2024 GMC Sierra HD range is getting a mid-cycle refresh that will include updates to the exterior, an overhauled interior, along with noteworthy powertrain and capability upgrades. With GMC having announced the 2024 Sierra HD in early October, we’re not taking a real-world look at the refreshed GMC Sierra 2500 HD in the following GM Authority Live Photo Gallery.

The 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 HD we have today is spec’d in the new-for-2024 Denali Ultimate trim and finished in the chameleon-like Titanium Rush Metallic (G6M). This range-topping trim level of the three-quarter-ton heavy duty pickup features a unique grille and GMC badging in Vader Chrome at the front, standard power assist steps on the sides, and the GMC MultiPro Tailgate out back. It’s riding on 20-inch Ultra-Bright Machined Aluminum Wheels with High Gloss Black accents.

The interior is appointed in full-grain leather and the Alpine Umber colorway specific to the Denali Ultimate. The cockpit has been completely overhauled, complete with a new 13.4-inch diagonal center touchscreen and a 12.3-inch diagonal digital driver information center. Additionally, a multicolor 15-inch Head-Up Display (HUD) is standard on the Denali Ultimate.

As a reminder, the 2024 GMC Sierra HD lineup boasts a bevy of updates compared to previous model years. Along with these visual tweaks, the pickup received six new exterior colors, including Titanium Rush Metallic, Sterling Metallic, Volcanic Red Tintcoat, Redwood Metallic, Meteorite Metallic, and Downpour Metallic.

The 2024 GMC Sierra HD Denali Ultimate will only be offered with one engine configuration – the 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine, which will be uprated to 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque for the 2024 model year, as compared to the 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque produced prior to the refresh.

This engine will pair with the Allison-branded ten-speed automatic transmission.

In regards to trailering, max towing figures are rated at 21,900 pounds for 2500 HD Crew Cab models, and 36,000 pounds for 3500 HD.

Official pricing details are expected closer to the start of production, set to kick off during the first quarter of 2023.

  1. Why the new dash appears to be an improvement, there’s still plenty of room for improvement on the dash and the rest of the interior. This is GM’s cash cow and people deserve better for what they expect them to pay. Sorry, but they haven’t gone near far enough inside or out, with the prices there asking on these trucks.

  2. NO POWER STEERING WHEEL ADJUSTMENT its apart of luxury for the ultimate thanks

  3. Sucks that they’re only offering this with diesel. If it was a gas motor I’d pull the trigger on it as soon as I could. Now I’m gonna have to shop around see what happens with the other brands. Not offering a gasoline engine for this truck it’s just plain stupid.

  4. Sucks that the truck doesn’t have the panoramic sunroof option!

  6. They need to move the wireless charger t0 the center console. We tow a 5th wheel travel trailer and spend a lot of time inthe truck. With our 2015 all that storage in ;the bottom console was a nice feature.

  7. 2015 did like removable cup holders for hidden extra space

    1. We need the drink holders for long travel days. On ou 2015 and 2022 the top console had a dip that we would ser a phone anyways. That spot would be perfect for the wireless charger. Could we remove the wireless charger v to get our space back and just use the plug on for charging.
