The Chevy Silverado EV puts an all-new, all-electric spin on the popular pickup nameplate, offering trim level lineups suited for both and retail customers. Now, GM Authority has exclusively learned pricing information for two 2024 Chevy Silverado EV models – the 3WT and 2024 Chevy Silverado EV 4WT.
For those readers who may be unaware, the Chevy Silverado EV WT, aka Work Truck, and the associated 3WT and 4WT trim levels are geared towards fleet buyers, but will still be available to retail buyers as well. Of these, the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV 3WT starts at $74,800, and includes a destination freight charge of $1,895, while the Chevy Silverado EV 4WT starts at $79,800, and also includes a DFC of $1,895.
Both the 3WT and 4WD Silverado EV models are equipped with a plethora of on-board features, including highlights like dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-inch Driver Information Center, six-speaker audio system, 11-inch center touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. GM Authority will have further coverage on the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV and its standard and available features published soon, so make sure to stay tuned.
It almost goes without saying that the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV 3WT and 4WT are not the base-most equipment groups of the Silverado EV. Instead, more base WT trims will be introduced at a later date, and we expect it to carry a lower base price.
As reported late last month, GM has announced that it is currently holding over 170,000 reservations for the Chevy Silverado EV. The announcement was made in conjunction with the automaker’s Q3 2022 earnings report, and follows previous reports of 110,000 hand-raisers announced in Q1 2022, and 150,000 hand-raisers announced in Q2 2022.
GM originally unveiled two trim levels for the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV, including the WT and the well-equipped RST First Edition. Both models ride on GM’s latest all-electric BT1 platform, the same underpinnings used for the GMC Hummer EV and GMC Sierra EV. The GM Ultium battery technology and GM Ultium electric drive motor technology provide the motivation, with as much as 400 miles covered between plug-ins.
Production will begin at the GM Factory Zero plant, previously known as the Detroit-Hamtramck plant, in Michigan next year.

Awesome form factor. Aspirational price.
I can’t wait to see all that fugly plastic turn Grey and crack in the sun. GM bean counters bringing back the bad 90’s early 00’s design elements.
Hey plastic dude, there is a reason it called; WT, it stands for ” work truck ” . Because people and companies want vehicles for their work with optimal maintenance and spare part costs. And bumpers are easily damaged parts of a vehicle. So unpainted flat black is the best option if you don’t want constantly corrected the chips and scratches. And no, those people don’t feel like losers like you if their bumpers are “plastic”! Because they don’t need painted bumpers to feel worthy, like you. They’re confident grown individuals who are all about business.
This is not personal there’s plethora of people like this guy that i called “plastic sniffers”. They desperately want to be called. “car guy ” but they know nothing about cars only thing they can recognize in a car is plastic. So they constantly looking for plastic to able to talk something about cars. They’re simpleton ignoramus wannabes that age-old sociocultural degeneration produced. They’re the perfect target customers for all show no substance product marketing.
Actually, why don’t you move on. Or stop using a profile name from a different user.
And where does the plastic come from???????? OIL. Take that you geeen leftists.
As long as it isn’t burned and is responsibly recycled that’s okay. Very few people have an issue with oil. Burning for energy is just stupid. It’s about being responsible with a finite resource.
And the tires, and the windshield wipers, and the interior pieces, and the weatherstripping, etc. Can’t have EVs without crude oil. So while the vehicle doesn’t burn it, it wouldn’t be able to be made without oil…tires alone take 7-8 gallons of of oil per tire.
Don’t forget all the petroleum based lubricants that help run the assembly lines these things will run down.
Oil for plastic can be made from plants.
It can but is typically used in plastic that isn’t meant to last very long, such as one time use water bottles.
“dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-inch Driver Information Center, six-speaker audio system, 11-inch center touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.” are not work truck features, neither is a 70k price tag.
I really pushed your buttons Tom. Lol
YOU’RE A LOSER
Who are you talking to, HUH?
~$75-80k for a stripped down work truck, geared towards hauling gravel and transporting construction workers from job to job? Holy Hell!
For a small contractor that’s a lot of jobs just pay for this ugly truck.
Can be a tax write-off.
A starting price of $72K gets you the wimpiest truck on the streets and steel wheels? What the heck! That’s messed up.
$70K+ for work trucks. GM will be once again asking for govt handouts, after they build them and they don’t come.
I’m with you, diesel guy. I’ll keep my 1500 diesel.
Instead, buy a 3/4 diesel and it will last 20 years. My 2002 Duramax was still running like brand new when I traded it in on a 2022 3500 Duramax I ordered in sept. of 21 and got in Jan. 22. This will be my last vehicle since I’m old:)
That’s exactly what I am planning to do as well.
the new duramazxes do not last as long thanks to Emissions items. I do have to say though I was just impressed by an F150 Diesel, it felt far better than the 2.7 Turbskies I usually have to jump in to move around here. too bad they dropped those little diesels.
I might try a new 3.0 Duramax
Aluminum wheels are standard for these models
NO ELECTRIC FOR ME.
Please make a list of all the things you’re not going to buy. America wants to know. lol
“ Of these, the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV 3WT starts at $72,905, and includes a destination freight charge (DFC) of $1,895, while the Chevy Silverado EV 4WT starts at $77,905, and also includes a DFC of $1,895.”
I’ve been trying to verify this statement. Can you reveal the source of this data?
Mary & her followers will Bankrupt GM by going EV. Mary needs to go.
The comments section of this site has more old white male misogynists than any other site I can think of. I can’t believe the number of comments about GM’s CEO. I don’t see any comments on Ford Authority about how bad Tommy Boy’s cousin is.
If the comments about Mary bother you so much, just stay over on the Ford forum.
I’m going to chalk up your nonsensical comments to a severe mental deficiency and simply move on. Politics, logic and rationale are obviously not your strong suit.
Best of luck to you. Please enjoy the rest of your week.
Where are all of these misogynistic comments? A negative comment is not automatically a misogynistic comment. How do you know the race of the commentors? You obviously don’t read much on the Ford site. You aren’t helping anyone, you are part of the problem.
@ Chris
Just a fair warning: I said the same thing as you, yesterday. I was then attacked by an unstable individual (see below-he has a peace sign next to this name) that hurled insults and other nonsensical rabble. I shrugged it off and allowed him to look like a fool. GM Authority then deleted all of my comments.
Tow the line or else.
Same thing happened to me, Chris. I tried to explain misogyny to him and he attacked me, too. Then, like you, GM deleted my comments. Okey doke.
You’re the fool, and what I say is the truth, SOOOOOOOOOO
EV and ICE truck prices have elevated to a level most average American can’t afford……
I WON SOOOOOOOOO
As an old white guy I agree that there are more stupid ill informed comments here than you can shake a stick at. I disagree they are all by old white guys.
Really? Mental? Ha! ford and dodge are mental, and so are you. Don’t tell me to have a good week. Don’t act like you outsmart me or anything. You are not getting the last word, and I just roasted and won the argument, and I am going to keep roasting fordtards and dodgetards like you, soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
3 dislikes? That might be the ford and dodgetard robots. NOT MY PROBLEM!
LOL, I can’t think of a serious fleet buyer who would pay $75k for an EV pickup when he can buy a better ICE version for about half that much!
These won’t be bought by normal companies, they will be bought with government money, municipalities, utility companies etc etc, or “selected” companies will received heavy incentives to buy one, its one oligopoly and you’re paying the bill!
How true, we the tax payers will foot the bill for this MESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They’ll probably be sold at a loss and bought with government money or subsidies and then left to sit somewhere to rot unused as some sort of greenscheme,…..and then sold at a loss, and possibly scrapped.
So Green!
actually almost all of the fleet buyers tell us they will likely not buy Ice again. Just sent out a dozen lightnings to a massive corporation. we will pay for it in the form of inflation.
I am a reservation holder for the 2024 silverado under the premise of a $40K WT. I am worried that a WT 0LT may be overly bare bones and still end up bit more than $40K. But I am excited that it still may be a lot of truck for $40K!
I also hold a 2023 maverick order that may or may not be built. I like the silverado more because it’s size, full EV, and frunk. But I may end up loving the creature comforts of the Mav more…or I may end up with 0 trucks with all the build issues.
$77k for a work truck – are you serious? Sounds like GM needs to go back to the drawing board. I can get a stripped down diesel for that kind of money and it will pull that trailer full of whatever all day long. I thing GM and others are in for a rude awakening when folks don’t buy these vehicles.
Stuart,
I would venture to say that these EV trucks will never see DIRT or a WORK SITE. Just one of those I HAVE ONE AND YOU DON’T!
John
This is why the ICE versions will be around and continue to be their best sellers for a long time.
We can only hope
Be sure to vote GOP so we can afford to fuel them!
just make sure to buy a new ICE vehicle in 2035 and expect to have it for a long time. Problem solved.
Now it all makes sense. I could never understand how there could be a $65k jump from WT to RST 1st edition. What are you getting with the RST that is not on this WT? 4 wheel steer, WOW mode, more HP, midgate, nicer interior, glass roof. On an ICE truck the difference from basic to top of the line is about $30k.
It looks like the premium from ICE to the equivalent EV model is going to run about $30k.
$50k => $80k for WT, $80k => $110k for Denali
For $75k+ that WT “Work Truck” better do the the damn work itself!!
I’d rather spend 70k on a ZL1 or Corvette. Not a Silverado.
Heck, you could get a beater truck and a new Vette / Camaro for the price of one of these.
What a joke.
$44K will get you a base 2WD Silverado Custom double cab and $38K will get you an LT1 Camaro.
$82K
Not bad considering.
Yep!
These are not going to sell.
Real companies, not the make believe GM demographics, don’t want to worry about charging vehicles either. It might be a pretty grocery getter but it’s not a functional real world work truck.
GM is a real, living company, and ford and dodge are DEAD SOOOOOOOO
“are not the base-most equipment groups of the Silverado EV. Instead, more base WT trims will be introduced at a later date, and we expect it to carry a lower base price.”
Soooooooooo, the base EV truck with zero frills will be what? $50 grand or more? Like I said in another article on here a few days ago, these prices of ALL trucks is just insane. ICE, diesel or EV. It doesn’t matter. My opinion on the entire truck/SUV market can be boiled down to this: A fool and his money are soon parted.
77K is ridiculous. GM should be embarrassed offering a WT for 77k. This is equivalent to a Lariat EV Lightning or a near-premium Tahoe.
Are they serious? On top of commentary that EV’s will soon be priced less and ICE vehicles.
Doesn’t fit the definition in my free red state.
