Back in June, GM Authority reported that the 2023 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL could not be ordered with GM’s semi autonomous driving technology, Super Cruise, due to a constraint. Now, this no longer seems to be the case.
GM Authority has just learned that Super Cruise (RPO Code UKL) is now available to order once again on the 2023 Yukon and Yukon XL. The self-driving technology is available on the Denali trim level as part of the Advanced Technology Package (CWN) for $3,585, which includes (relevant RPO code in parentheses):
- Super Cruise (UKL)
- Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist (UKZ)
- Reverse Automatic Braking (UVZ)
- Rear Camera Mirror (DRZ)
- Rear Camera Mirror Washer (CWA)
- Advanced Security Package (NWM) contents:
- Self-powered horn (UTR)
- Interior movement sensors (UTV)
- Vehicle inclination sensors (UTU)
- Glass break sensors in rear quarter glass and liftgate window (UTW)
- Door and liftgate lock shields
Additionally, Super Cruise is also offered as a standalone option on the new-for-2023 Yukon Denali Ultimate trim for an extra $2,200.
The return of Super Cruise as an orderable option comes on the heels of expanded Super Cruise coverage for select full-size GM trucks and SUVs.
As a reminder, the 2023 GMC Yukon is offered with three engine options, including the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, rated at 355 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 383 pound-feet of torque at 4,100 rpm, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, rated at 420 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 460 pound-feet of torque at 4,100 rpm, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax, rated at 277 horsepower at 3,750 rpm and 460 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm.
Beneath the skin, the 2023 GMC Yukon rides on the GM T1 platform, with production taking place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.
