The Chevy Corvette Z06 was envisioned as a track weapon capable of putting Italian and German supercars to shame, while also being perfectly capable of serving as a grand tourer. Now that the 2023 Corvette Z06Â has launched, albeit in a very low volume, Chevy has started to offer more accessories for the C8 Corvette, such as the new visible carbon fiber spoiler for the C8 Z06.
The Visible Carbon Fiber spoiler (RPO code 5V5) will be available as an LPO, or dealer-installed part. This means the vehicle arrives at the dealership without the option installed, and the dealer then installs the part on site. Additionally, this new part will be offered as a Genuine Corvette Accessory, meaning it can be ordering directly through local dealerships.
This spoiler is listed at $5,995, and will be available to order on all trim levels (1LZ, 2LZ, 3LZ) for both Coupe and Hard Top Convertible body styles of the C8 Z06.
It’s worth noting that the C8 Corvette Stingray also has a 5V5 option. However, 5V5 on the Stingray refers to the Visible Carbon Fiber high wing spoiler. It’s also an LPO item, and costs $6,495.
Going beyond spoilers, the C8 has recently received several other visible carbon parts. As GM Authority was first to report, the Corvette Stingray is getting the new Visible Carbon Fiber door intake trim.
As a reminder, the 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 is powered by the naturally-aspirated 5.5L V8 LT6 gasoline engine. This high-revving screamer pushes out 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and is mated to the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
As for structure, the C8 rides on the GM Y2 platform, just like every other C8 Corvette. All C8 Corvettes are assembled exclusively at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.

Yea they 4 of them !!! Better hurry !!!
Again, parts for an unobtainable car.
Don’t know why the Blog is even giving nibbles about the Zo6 when the average Joe Snuffy can’t get the car for at LEAST 2 years at best, even with cash money in hand. JMO.
Captain Obvious says: Top level Z06s were never intended for the average Joe – more like the top level Joe – more exclusive. C8 Stingrays are for the average Joe and are not that hard to get. MSRP is under $60K. You see a dozen of them at every car show and meet – dolled up with this or that trim and color that makes the Joe feel “special”. If you want to move up to something more exclusive with some substance (like a clean sheet engine design), you have to wait and pay more. The wait will be much longer thanks to the poor Bidenomics economic climate that has businesses failing. My financial advisor says a deeper recession is predictable. So, on the bright side, maybe you’ll be glad that you saved your money.
Yeah! But i’ll be dead by then (LOL)
Car FAIL!!!!!!!!!!
