2023 Chevy Silverado Gets New Harvest Bronze Metallic Color: First Look

The 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 adds three new exterior colors to its palette: Radiant Red Tintcoat, Sterling Gray Metallic, and Harvest Bronze Metallic. Here’s our first look at the new Bronze hue.

Assigned RPO code GXN and touch-up paint code WA-135H, Harvest Bronze Metallic is one of 10 exterior colors offered on the full-size light-duty pickup truck, which include:

  • Black
  • Dark Ash Metallic
  • Glacier Blue Metallic
  • Iridescent Pearl Tricoat
  • Northsky Blue Metallic
  • Red Hot
  • Summit White
  • Harvest Bronze Metallic (new for 2023)
  • Radiant Red Tintcoat (new for 2023)
  • Sterling Gray Metallic (new for 2023)

Harvest Bronze Metallic is a no-cost item that is available on Custom Trail Boss, LT, LT Trail Boss, ZR2, LTZ, and High Country trim levels, but not WT, Custom, and RST. It can be combined with all interior colorways.

For reference, here are all five available interior colorways offered on the 2023 Chevy Silverado depending on trim level:

  • Gideon/Very Dark Atmosphere (LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ only)
  • Jet Black (all trims except ZR2)
  • Jet Black/Graystone (ZR2 only)
  • Jet Black/Nightshift Blue (High Country only)
  • Jet Black/Umber (High Country only)

The 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 arrives as the fourth model year of the fourth-generation nameplate, introducing a few changes and updates over the fully refreshed 2022 model year. One such change is that 2023 Silverado Duramax models will be equipped with the new 3.0L I6 LZ0 engine turbo-diesel “baby Duramax,” replacing the 3.0L I6 LM2.

The big news for 2023 is the introduction of the first-ever 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2 Bison, taking the all-new 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2 to the next level. The Silverado ZR2 Bison represents Chevy’s second collaboration with American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), a premium off-road aftermarket manufacturer – the first being the Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison. Available as an option package exclusively for the Silverado 1500 ZR2, the Bison elevates the off-road capabilities of the ZR2 with a selection of upgrades and unique touches. The 2023 Chevy Silverado ZR2 itself was recently named a semifinalist for the North American Car of the Year (NACTOY) award.

Also for 2023, the Silverado light-duty pickup receives a $1,000 price hike across the board.

Production of the 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 began at the GM Oshawa plant in Ontario on August 20th, 2022, and at the GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana and GM Silao plant in Mexico on August 29th, 2022, for both Regular Cab and Crew Cab models, and on September 6th, 2022, for Double Cab models.

  4. I wish they’d bring back a dark green metallic hue. I had several green GMT400s and 800s. Seems like nobody makes dark green vehicles anymore.

    1. Forest green metallic we had in the 70s might work. 70 Nova and Chevelles sure looked good!

  5. It’s not a great color for resale. The color alone will eliminate many buyers.
