The GMC Hummer EV Pickup looks amazing in bone-stock factory spec, especially the range-topping Edition 1 model. However, for those customers that want something a little more custom, a new wrap seems like an obvious upgrade, and now, we’re checking out this particular Hummer EV sporting a new silver aesthetic.
Recently hitting social media in a series of impromptu images, this 2022 GMC Hummer EV Pickup Edition 1 looks rather formidable parked among more-pedestrian commuter vehicles and SUVs. Naturally, the exterior styling is already head-turning from the factory, but with the new wrap applied, the all-electric off-roader gains an extra dash of bespoke goodness to it.
To note, all GMC Hummer EV Pickup Edition 1 models are finished in Interstellar White paint, which is paired with black and silver trim. What’s more, the silver wrap on this particular example is especially noteworthy, as none of the eight factory exterior paint options offered for the 2023 GMC Hummer EV Pickup and 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV match it. The closest factory hues would be Meteorite Metallic and Moonshot Green Metallic.
To our eyes, the matte finish on this GMC Hummer EV gives it a futuristic “moon cruiser” sort of vibe, which certainly works well with details like the factory Lunar Horizon white leather and bronze detailing in the interior.
Further details worth pointing out include (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- A-Pillar Off-Road Lights (RZU)
- Black rear frame-mounted, articulating D-ring recovery hooks (SDA)
- Off-Road assist steps with rock sliders (S6L)
- Power retractable tonneau cover (5KM)
The Black rear frame-mounted, articulating D-ring recovery hooks and Off-Road assist steps with rock sliders are both included as standard for the GMC Hummer EV Pickup Edition 1, while the A-Pillar Off-Road Lights and Power retractable tonneau cover are optional.
As for motivation, the Hummer EV Pickup Edition 1 boasts three electric motors doling out a combined 1,000 horsepower. Range-per-charge is estimated around 350 miles. Under the wrapped body is the GM BT1 platform. Production takes place at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.
