GM is stepping into the all-electric space with a wide range of products, including all-electric commercial vehicles like the BrightDrop Zevo 600 delivery van. Now, we’re watching as a BrightDrop Zevo 600 is wrapped and prepped for service by FedEx.
For those readers who may be unaware, the BrightDrop Zevo 600 (previously known as the BrightDrop EV600) is equipped with a cutting-edge GM Ultium all-electric powertrain to provide last-mile delivery services using nothing but electrons. FedEx was among the first customers to adopt the new EV delivery van, with an ongoing partnership between BrightDrop and FedEx set to deliver 2,500 units over the next few years, including both the Zevo 600 and the smaller Zevo 400.
The first units were delivered to FedEx late last year, with 150 units delivered as of June. As covered previously, FedEx’s first BrightDrop Zevo 600 vans are now in service in Southern California.
Now, we’re checking out this video showing the FedEx team prepping a BrightDrop Zevo 600 for service with a FedEx wrap. The video is a little over 20 seconds long, and shows the process sped up as the team wraps the van’s flanks and rear with the FedEx logo. The wrap also includes a large green plug, indicating that the van is all-electric. Looking forward, FedEx has plans to completely electrify its pickup and delivery fleet by 2040.

As for the specs, the BrightDrop Zevo 600 features GM’s Ultium battery tech and GM Ultium drive motor tech. The launch model utilizes a two-motor drive system and 20-module battery, with estimated range-per-charge set at 250 miles. There’s also more than 600 cubic feet of cargo room available, as well as a long list of standard safety tech features. Production takes place at the GM CAMI Assembly plant in Canada.

No thanks, not interested.
This vehicle makes a lot of sense! Love how GM entered this market early- the EV600 & EV410 will eventually be available to contractors- this market is huge! Well done!!!!
Xos Trucks is the Fedex Ground partner for electric step vans. They have had trucks on the road for a few years now, even, up into Canada. They get no press
FedEx can do what it wants but don’t force me into a technology that provides no benefit to me as a consumer and is clearly a scam political power grab. Again, no thanks.
